In particular I was trying to make exactly the point that you make here "Indulging in discussions about what is English and skin colour an all the usual diversion is nonsense" However I do start to disagree when you start talking about Culture. I am Engish but I object to saying my "culture" is the same as your culture. For instance I was brought up in the countryside in Sussex and my "culture" is way different from someone who grew up in an industrial town in Yorkshire. So I would object when this comes into the discussion. See my earlier quote about defending your culture. If it was a village in Sussex, then you would be only too aware of the situation when a family moves into a village and they are regarded as 'outsiders' for at least 5 generations. After that, if they have integrated into village life and the community and it's activities, then, if they are lucky, they may eventually be regarded as a 'local'. What SS is saying is exactly the same thing, except on a national rather than a provincial level.

anybody recorded the Liverpool v PSG game in the champions league ? 64 mins you can clearly hear the name of Tommy being chanted. now why would fans of a club close to Rochdale be chanting the name of a gobby little fella from Luton ? chanting to be heard all across the globe ? its difficult for the MainStream Media to stem a tide.

Such a shame you guys lived outside the generation of being able to embrace difference. I’m so glad I lived in a multicultural city. I’d rather have that mix of cultures then everyone being the same. And to me, my generation have bought into being ‘British’ more so than a lot of the people than inhabit the local pubs.

Who wouldn't want a multicultural society if it was so perfect and simple?

I would be interested to know out of all the multiple cultures which ones you like and enjoy embracing. And how do you mix with a different culture exactly? Are you going to various churches and mosques, dipping your toe into different traditions?

The problem seems to have come down to the ruling classes and the media (even the so called right wing media and politicians) normalising the use of the racist card as an acceptable defence for all nefarious Islamist crap. They are so scared of that label that it automatically makes Robinson far right which doesn’t equate to what he says. I for one assumed TR was just another NF biggot for a while (not paying much attention) and then heard his speach at the Oxford Union. The two don’t add up and what this country has put him through personally is just shameful and scrarily Orwellian. Go to Luton as well and you might get an insight into this. If you are undecided watch the whole Oxfords Union thing and the Q&A after and decide for yourself.

'Lived'......moved out to like in a high percent white area.....funny that isn't it....Not statistically of course because statistically you what you did was just very common. So when are you moving back? People need to live their principles and not make excuses. If you love a 'mix of cultures', like you say you do.....You should be living with a mix of cultures.....not you know....living in a near totally white area. Not in my name. This thug is being used as a totem for a group of people who are intent on fomenting trouble Football is not political. I despise its use in that way. I also despise those that wish to turn ordinary people against one another.
