It was that absolute cock womble Pardew who showed he had no clue on how to run a football team, that dropped Speroni for Wayne. This then lead onto Speroni's match fitness to eroding, making it very hard for him to be ready to step into the fray at 38. Now is the time though! Enough is enough. Step up captain Speroni. bless ya little socks brent...did your jizz hit jules face on the dartboard of did you gove him a pearl necklace?

You want us to be relegated it is time you admitted it. Like it or not Speroni is no longer in his prime. Speroni played majority of his career in championship, he never got international recognition and his career record is no better than WH. Yes there are better keepers than WH but we can't afford them and have other priorities. SM had a far better career record than either of them and that didn't turn out too good. The negativity on this forum towards current players is not helping anyone. Players do read social media and if there confidence is already low then this really doesn't help. We need to get behind team and individuals. The 2 players who get most criticism are Ward and Hennesey both would have plenty of suitors if they were put up for sale. They are not superstars but competent EPL players The team has really struggled over the last eighteen months and, apart from a brief spell with Mandanda in the side, Hennessey has been a constant. He looks to have poor reflexes, is slow around his goal, no presence and lacks bravery. He makes poor use of his frame, doesn't make it hard enough for the opposition score despite being in his prime. Noticeable that his staunchest defenders on these threads are those who predicted big things from him but have been shown to be very poor judges.

Find it unreal this topic gets so much attention still. We have two keepers, neither are amazing and it really matters not which one is in goal. Hopefully with Sakho back Waynes form will improve as it did towards the end of last season. On their day there both as good and as bad as each other. Those baying for Waynes blood when we only have Jules to replace him, bit silly really.

And quite frankly it's nonsense. We performed much better with Julian in goal. As evidenced in the higher league finishes. Julian was a very good goalie for us and is seen as legend by the Palace faithful. Wayne is seen as anything other than that.

Dear me, You are up there with being extremely boring and repetitive perhaps Willo and Croydon lad. I do hope the old fable of those that shout loudest lose their voice. You do know the more you argue without merit the more entrenched others' view will become? The vast majority don't think he is that bad. Just give it up.

LOL its not a cop out from his defense team as I'm not trying to defend him... So bit silly to make out i am. Was simply pointing out that IMO it doesn't matter much which is in goal, as in my opinion they're of the same level. Those that argue till the cows come home that one (either one) is way better than the other. Frankly are deluded. Nothing in it between them, so whats it matter.... Trademark lack of bravery on the first goal and dived out of the way of the fourth. Still, least he's really tall and can kick a long way.

I think some people were watching a different match. He made 3 very good 1 on 1 saves, got top marks from the Daily Mail (8/10). Review from football.london ' Wayne Hennessey - 6 Pulled off a brilliant save 15 minutes in to deny Fernandinho from point blank range to keep the score goalles. Got down well to deny Sterling a few minutes later and held everything thrown at him. Couldn't do anything about Sterling's goal but nearly handed the winger another with a weak palm out a few minutes later. Saved by a miss (and the offside flag). Two big saves in the second half to keep the score down however.'
