He isn't qualified in a related field. He was a nurse, who taught in a University after working in A & E. He is not qualified in immunology, research, data analysis or public health.

If he was opining on how to manage triage effectively, or how best to teach student nurses then maybe he could claim some expertise. Although as he is now retired his knowledge is probably out of date.

That's not criticism. It's stating facts.

Nursing is a related medical field. We are just going to disagree on that.

This idea that people shouldn't comment upon something unless they are an 'expert' is ridiculous. Why are you giving opinions on things yourself then?

I don't like wars yet should only generals be allowed to comment?

The BBC will just show more repeats rather than cut any waste in their "all paid for by the public" liberal left wing bureaucratic bubble.
Very important that they don't sack anyone who might need a job doing nothing or anyone else they can help steal from the taxpayer.
I tell you - you think Boris is bad - well, he is an amateur compared to the crap this lot get up to.
They would not get jobs in the real world most of them.
They are an absolute joke which is why the BBC needs defunding until it can do its job properly and make us proud of a public broadcaster.

One way of saving money would be to stop making nature programmes. Unless they find a leopard with a rifle or a gazelle doing a Steve McQueen on a motorbike there isn’t anything left to see.

I didn't suggest nursing isn't a "related medical field". Only that he is not an expert. When I was diagnosed with prostate cancer my urologist passed me on to an oncologist. Why? Because he isn't an expert in how to treat cancer.

Of course everyone can have, and express, an opinion. It's how seriously we should take those opinions. People who make YouTube videos using their title to suggest they are a qualified expert are at risk of being accused of deception.

I suspect you are correct. There are too many sacred cows in the BBC so rather than cutting waste they will reduce quality.

BBC 3 is now back on Freeview at an estimated cost of £80m pa. This was a channel aimed at young people but due to low ratings (because young people don't watch traditional TV) they took it off air and put it on the internet.

Apparently its rating on the internet were okay and they were reaching their target audience. Now some genius has decided to put it back to Freeview why do they think it will work this time?

£80m down the drain still it's only the taxpayers money.

Please get in contact with Campbell if his behaviour concerns you so much.

Personally I haven't seen him make any claims to which he isn't entitled.

Nor has he made any inaccurate claims.....the fact that he isn't stressing what you want him to stress is irrelevant.

The discussion about Campbell is covered - more correctly - on the Coronavirus thread. Please keep it to there as he has nothing really to do with the BBC

Thank you. I completely agree and will. Why it was introduced here is also a mystery to me.

Appears to be late night BBC 1 nowadays.

I occasionally comment on football threads on bbc sport. Today there was a article relating to Liverpool signing Luis Diaz. 1 comment stated “ if he is anywhere near as good as our previous Luis, I will be happy”

I replied saying “ let’s hope he doesn’t start biting people then” I have just been informed my comment has been removed as being offensive

You should be ashamed of yourself. Those comments are clearly prejudicial to those people who are Edentulous* challenged.
