Anyone who allowed Palin to be his running mate was politically stupid and deserved to lose.

A dignified concession speech follows a defeat.

I watched that this morning and thought what a great man he was. How we need someone with his modesty, humility, morality and sense of right and wrong. The GOP have descended into the gutter with Trump so let's hope they can find another McCain to haul them out again.

Link got deleted. Poor show, was funny too.

I found something similar... this one's pretty good too. Hopefully both sides can find it funny.

So you essentially just did exactly what I asked you not to do.

Yes losing graciously is a good quality but based on the extrordianry levels to which anto Trumpism has escalated in the media and among the establishment, it would not be a stretch to imagine that they might stop at nothing to oust him.
Someone like you would not accept that there was fraud if someone had filmed one million fake votes being put into a ballot box along with a signed confession from Hillary Clinton.

You have absolutely no objectivity whatever.

Under the circumstances, any reasonable person would expect there to be an investigation into the counts to ensure no wrong doing.
The likes of you couldn't care less as long as your very old man wins.

You asking me to do something? It's similar to Trump asking the courts to "stop the count"! It's without merit!

So is you parroting the Trump supporter's conception of "anti-Trumpism" as if people shouldn't oppose lies, nepotism, narcissism and the myriad of other poor characteristics that make Trump so unfit to hold office. Removing him is an imperative but so is doing it legally.

If there is fraud let's see the evidence. Small scale fraud is always a possibility, and could come from either side. I am quite sure though that the system that exists is independent of the parties and is going to extraordinary lengths to ensure fairness so that any residual fraud will not impact the big result.

I have no special attachment to Biden. The important thing is that he is a decent guy who isn't Trump.

You are as delusional as the guy in the video.

Conspiracy theories are 2 a penny but the strange thing is how they never turn out to be true.

The only good thing about them is once one has failed those who believe in them generally move onto the next one, so it keeps them occupied at their keyboards whilst the rest of us can get on with life.

What? I quote the 2 chants and said it was good comedy. Hislop said pretty much the same and used it for comedy. Are you getting it yet?

You reacted on here like the humourless hypocrite you are and now because you’ve admitted it is funny you’re doing your usual backpedaling. Do you ride one of those clown bikes? Thank god you’re tucked away in the idyll of the countryside near Truro. Explains everything.

You just don't understand context do you? Everything is at face value.

The suggestion was they aren't words. They are.

Opinions will be divided over how accurately they are used. Some will think, never. Others, often.

It's a while ago now but I suspect McCain was pressured into accepting her so as to appeal to the hard right, the sort who ended up in the Trump corner.

McCain in the Senate and in his last years dealing with Trump, and in particular with the Russian interference in the 2016 election, showed himself as a man of great principle.

What puzzles me is why Trump is doing this. It's obviously not going to work and will just delay the preparations for a smooth transfer of power.

The idea that it's to "protect democracy" won't fool anyone other than those who have swallowed his bs for the last few years and are beyond hope. The rest of us know he doesn't do anything unless it's in his personal best interest. So how can chasing a lost cause be in his best interests?

He has a brand to protect. He has a dynasty, which with careful handling could rise again in the coming years. There is even talk of him standing as an independent in 2024.

By acting in this way he is throwing it all away. His legacy will forever be tainted by this behaviour. For me, and many others, it was already tainted but this will damage him beyond repair with many who were on the fence about him.

He is acting like a desperate man. For me he has done so ever since the pandemic struck and he realised the impact it would have on his re-election chances. In seeking to ignore it and keep the economy as his priority he has cost many lives, in the hope it would be enough to save him.

So why is he so desperate? We know he is a flawed character who cannot accept losing, but there are ways of losing battles without losing wars.

I believe there are indictments waiting to be served on him and his family immediately after he loses office. Maybe even at Biden's inauguration. Maybe the knowledge of that and the prospect of jail is what is driving this. We'll see.

Perhaps part of the reason for Trump's obstinacy lies in his words related to "losing to the worst candidate in Presidential history". In retrospect, it was an ill conceived speech and makes him look a fool. He has been very poorly advised by his legions of brown nosers. Trump needs to step back, cull his "advisors", regroup and prepare to run again in 2024 if indeed he can be bothered!

There’s talk of Trump needing to be a gracious loser. What about anti-Trumpers being gracious winners? Your man won, you can enjoy it without revelling in the downfall of another.
