Government wins no confidence vote no surprise there.

Mrs May then offers talks to all the leaders of the parties starting tonight.

Corbyn then makes what I think is a big mistake. He refuses her olive branch unless she takes No deal Brexit off the table. This smacks of party politics and inflexibility. The SNP by the way accepted the offer.

Corbyn now runs the risk of being seen to put party before country I would have thought it smarter to have accepted the offer and then complain after the meeting.

A praise-worthy effort by Corbyn, the gammon scraped it by 19.

A couple of disasters away from an election I think.

Probably quite quickly then !!

I hope you have a good alibi if some accidents start happening to Tory MPs.

Just thinking a bit more about Corbyn's reaction to the PMs offer. If enough people see that TV clip I think he will take a hit in the polls.

When someone offers the hand of friendship it's never a good look to swat it away.

I suspect That Tony Blair would have accepted said some warm words in the house and then in private told Mrs May what he really thought.

It says a lot about Corbyn that the leader of the SNP came across as measured and statesmanlike compared to him. This is all show by all of the parties but sometimes you have to be seen to be doing the right thing and Corbyn didn't tonight.

Corbyn is an utterly ineffective little man only interested in himself and his so called legacy. He cares nothing for this country and its people. Michael Gove stuffed him right royally.

Fact does remain though that without the DUP vote May would have lost by one. She has got to move her act now.

Any democratic vote can be overturned by another.

It is not within the power of the government to deliver brexit.

It can simply be overturned next time.

Except of course when parliament attempts to democratically vote on laws that conflict with those our masters in Brussels hand down to us, as you well know from Factorame:

So that whole bit about "no parliament may bind a future parliament" isn't really correct when we've had legislation rammed down our throats with no choice but to enact it.

You're not too good at this, are you?

The Brexiters are in good form tonight, how they'd go into the negotiations all billy big bollox and do the deal of the Century

Seems all the lies about we hold all the cards and they need us more than we need them are being laid bare. Just further proof people voted leave because they were lied to

More pertinently, I hope the readership of the HOL have a good alibi if anything happens to Steeleye.
