Much as I’d love it, it’s not going to happen Be kind - Chelsea are doing their best to make it happen, 3 down already It is hilarious the disparity of Lampard one of the worst football managers in history and his opinion of his own talents

Maybe Big Sam should hold on for a day or two because at this rate Chelsea might be calling 😂

Stop it! I feel sorry for all the people I know who are Chelsea supporters... Aha, fooled you for a bit. To$$sers, deserve this! They still have to play Man City, Man United, Newcastle, Bournmouth (may finish above Chelsea) and Forest. Clearlake Capital is a JOKE!!!

Am I alone in guessing it would be 2-2 and both teams go down? Wholly informed by a certain home match against Norwich a few years ago. You may recall the Norwich defender saving a shot with his hand and the ref not spotting it. Had he spotted it, player off, penalty, survival and a completely different history. There cant be many ref errors that have had such profound significance. That would be too much for my nervous system, and I think many others! An error, a dodgy decision, VAR wrong, miss from 3 feet etc etc. can end seasons of hard work and huge investment down the pan. Thank God its not us. I've got no idea I guess Saints have more ground to make up. They are all good sides, better, I surmise, than anyone coming up.

Looks like 34 points will be enough even 33 with a better goal difference .

Palace could still go down. If they fail to get any points in the next four games and the three of following four sides in each case win 3 games and draw 1 in their last four games:- Everton ( who entertain Man City) Then provided the West ham get 2 wins out of their last 5 games ( notwithstanding they have Man Utd and City to play) then Palace could be in trouble If that was to happen, I think there would need to be a police enquiry into possible match fixing !

I fully expect us to be mathematically safe after this weekend's round of matches even if we lose to Spurs as I don't see Leeds getting any joy at the Etihad despite Big Sam's best efforts nor do I see Everton avoiding having rings run round them at the Amex. Forest will probably win (home to Soton) and Leicester might get something at Craven Cottage. Edited by doombear (03 May 2023 2.08pm)

Saints are better than most teams in Europe. They would do well in every league save Spain and here.
