Funny always depends on who says it and the context. Hislop is funny. You aren't. Well, not funny haha! I called it ‘good comedy’, that was all, so no difference whatsoever. You’ve just been shown as a bit stiff and uptight and a lack of sense of humour and don’t like it, and resort to your usual wriggling out of it.

Some very delusional thinking on here tonight. Trump has lost. There is no great fraud. A fat egotist simply can’t admit he’s been beaten. He’s had his time and what a disaster it was. Trumpism has lost this election but it won’t go away. Somehow America needs to find a way to reunite at least to some degree. I greatly dislike Trump and all he stands for but many millions don’t - in the US and over here. They’re not stupid and they have their reasons. Delusional or not some serious bridge building needs doing. Are you sure it was such a disaster? If Covid didn’t happen Trump would’ve walked it, especially going by the votes. Agree with some of the rest. Trump voters are not all racist xenophobes but all racist xenophobes vote Trump. Exactly like Brexit. If you ignore the silent majority (ok not quite) and make them worse off over and over, this is what you get. And don’t be surprised that people just take it. Even funnier and thought provoking for the liberals in America is some of the ethnic minority vote rejecting the liberal view of what they should think and want. If it was here I could imagine the Emily Thornberry types talking them down over their 8 course dinner cooked by a luxury mobile chef.

John McCain's concession speech in 2008 is a great contrast to the way in which Trump has conducted himself in this election. I watched that this morning and thought what a great man he was. How we need someone with his modesty, humility, morality and sense of right and wrong. The GOP have descended into the gutter with Trump so let's hope they can find another McCain to haul them out again.

If you had referred to Hislop taking the p*ss then you would have a point. But you didn't. You called it yourself, and you aren't the least bit humorous. My buttocks wince every time I see a post from you. Most times I clench them and move swiftly on, but occasionally, as now, I sit on the pot.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha. |

That's why the system is stress tested and observers appointed. There is even an international consortium of independent observers scrutinising the procedures. There will be the occasional fraud discovered but they are just as likely to favour Trump as Biden and there is nil chance that they will amount to anything approaching the scale to alter one of the state results, let alone several of them. Sorting that out can be done in the coming weeks, as it always is but the big picture will soon be clear. Once that is obvious tradition demands that the loser calls the winner, concedes and offers full support. They do that in the interests of their country and democracy. Losing graciously is the mark of a real winner. So Trump is about to prove to everyone what many of us have known for years. He is a small-minded loser who only cares about himself.
Yes losing graciously is a good quality but based on the extrordianry levels to which anto Trumpism has escalated in the media and among the establishment, it would not be a stretch to imagine that they might stop at nothing to oust him. You have absolutely no objectivity whatever. Under the circumstances, any reasonable person would expect there to be an investigation into the counts to ensure no wrong doing.

Hislop said pretty much the same and used it for comedy. Are you getting it yet? You reacted on here like the humourless hypocrite you are and now because you’ve admitted it is funny you’re doing your usual backpedaling. Do you ride one of those clown bikes? Thank god you’re tucked away in the idyll of the countryside near Truro. Explains everything.

Anatidaephobia is a word too. Doesn’t mean it’s real.

Let me help , no you don't but please don't let that stop you making observations on the process. It doesn't seem to on any other topic so why be different on the US election Originally posted by HKOwen
For Steeleye20 Do you have any understanding at all of how Presidential elections work in the US? Asking for a friend
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |
