So democratic. Amusingly his thinking is exactly the system Iran uses. They get the choice between a hardliner and a slightly less hardliner and that's it.....all pre filtered before the poor sods living under them get a vote. Edited by Stirlingsays (10 Jul 2024 5.56pm)

We are not considering who is put before the electorate by a Supreme Leader! We are considering who elected MPs want to lead them in Parliament and how to ensure they don’t get someone they don’t want. Allowing activists to foist an unwanted leader onto democratically elected representatives is what would be undemocratic.

Any system that removes real choices from its voters is a further erosion of democracy. A manufactured choice that basically represents much the same within a party isn't worth offering....essentially it treats the membership like children and widens the gulf between the parliamentary party and its membership....treating them like paying fools. No amount of waffle changes that fact. Edited by Stirlingsays (10 Jul 2024 7.09pm)

You can't win anything without a labour government. It's an established fact since 1966. The Euros, the F1, the cricket, suddenly we fire on all cylinders, all in the last few days. It's not a coincidence, we will probably now be favourites for the World Cup in 2026.

Accepting this is a failed attempt at humour.could you at least use your glass eyes to read even the tiniest piece of fact. Ashes 2010, 2013, 2015 for example.
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

We only had Glam Rock, Disco and the Third Division to keep us warm in those gloomy Labour years.

Luck always plays its part....I still can't quite understand how Greece won the Euros twenty odd years ago. Both 66 and 70s teams suffering from a distinct lack of diversity as well.....as well as dental attention.
