Who was it about 20 pages back that met Parish at a station somewhere and asked about transfers. Parish basically said they’re asking silly money for players! We should’ve stopped the thread at that point!

We should’ve stopped the thread at that point! I think it would have been to a certain extent. But there are those forever optimists, easily swayed by all the bs. Doucoure great We didn’t add what we needed. Maybe the market stopped us doing that. I don’t think Chelsea, United and Forest to some extent have helped the market this year. Ridiculous inflation yet again…and who else actually wanted all of these players??? Did Real Madrid, Bayern, City or Liverpool want a single one these players? It’s never going to be easy for Palace. We need the stadium development more than ever.

Well, we don't need you if you are that loyal a Palace Fan. For those who may not know, Adelaide is in South Australia only good for fine wine and whining Originally posted by Oddball2021
W hat a bunch of arseholes. I’m supporting Chelsea. 10 years in the prem and the greedy owners couldn’t dig into their pockets and huge profits to give PV what he said he NEEDS. FU Parish. Go Brighton! You are better than us. You WIN!

Also clearly some of our targets were dependent on other teams getting the players they were after i.e. AWB and Gallagher and a bit like been in a chain to buy a house if someone pulls out then the rest of the chain collapses.

I just hope that PV isn’t too pee’d off with this window! We’ve been up that road before!

Well the window is closed and we now have to cope with what we have. To my mind every year we should be looking to improve on what we had. This year I am not convinced we have. Aside from Decoure I am not convinced by our new signings. They are either not for now or in another keeper not really needed. Our squad was thin but is now thinner.

Went to bed early last night for obvious reasons. Not a sausage. Any updates Dazza?
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

You don't have to pay over the odds. The fact is that we have weaknesses in the squad and they have not been addressed, even via the loan market which was available to us.

It seems fairly clear to me that Blizter and Harris wont put their hand in their pockets and Textor will probably feel he did his bit last time. A poor window in many ways, I think after we signed Doucoure our business was done unless we got lucky. We still have the same weaknesses we have carried over for many windows now, I just hope we have enough to get us through another season. Mid table mediocrity at best.
