I really can't see Parish appointing a possible Pards Mark 2 presently. The likes of Hodgson and Dyche look favourites to me. If Lee and the backroom staff stay then we wouldn't be a million miles off where we would be under Allardyce. Get Sakho over the line, a few others, decent injury free loan deal, release the deadwood and we will be well set.

If we appoint hodgson, shows a total lack of ambition. He's 70 in August for Christ sake. This appointment should be a manager that potentially at Palace for the next 4 years. Brendan Rodgers would be my choice. Edited by GladAllOver27 (30 May 2017 9.20pm) Goodness me, 70 you say. Can you imagine a man of that age as a credible leader?

And Tuchel would be a good choice? I give him 3-6 months before he kicks off with Parish about getting involved too much(expecially transfers and contracts). His past would suggest he wants complete control of everything and Parish has a habit of sticking his oar in every so often. And yes I would like to keep Lee. he has been the best coach we have had for many years.... Edited by Palace 1979 (30 May 2017 9.47pm) German is defo a way I would go looking forward. Drilled teams, flood the youth with a nice blend of experience. Palace is set this sort of appointment. No more Woy has beens, mediocre monks and let's be a bit dynamic in our next appointment! If we can keep Lee and he wants to work alongside ze German, then that's a bonus. But this is Palace.....we are guaranteed to get Woy!!

If we're going to persist with ex-England managers, why don't we just exhume Sir Alf Ramsey? At least he actually won something.

These names linked with the job are just awful and i really hope they are not true. Very low standards if true.

Accepting the resignation of a 63 year old only to have advanced talks with a 69 year old. Couldn't make it up. This isn't a good move but I fear it'll be done because it's Cheeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaapppppppp.

Roy was a uninspiring disaster at Euro champs - no doubt. But the qualification stages went well and his club management record is impressive. But He has had his day IMO and all this Old Croydon boy crap doesn't really make him more appealing! There are worse options out there for sure but I think there a many better options. All this talk about Roy is making me look more favourably on Dyche that's for sure.

Woy turned England into a f***ing laughing stock. Twice. I said Parish knew what he was doing and that if he appoints X then who am I to gainsay him? And it may be that the plan is for Sammy Lee to do everything whilst Woy bimbles about smelling the flowers and speaks to the MoTD presenter. But if I see corners being taken by whomever comes in as centre-forward after Tekers has bolted for the exit I am not going to be responsible for my actions. FFS.
