Only 2 home wins all season. Some dire performances with entertainment at a premium.
Vulnerability at set-pieces and no goals from corners.
Supporters short-changed at Selhurst Park.
A 4 hour round-trip in the dark.
Expectations not just low but subterranean.
Stale,stagnant,moribund.
I have 'Net Zero' interest in attending the game and I have been an avid supporter since the 60s, following our team around the country in all climes.

Oh man, the above does not make good reading does it, although someone else might say that shows how spoilt we all are

For tonight’s game I am living off a probably false hope we might see a miraculous change in approach to the game

Put Johnston in goal. Henderson on the bench.
Put our new signings on the pitch along with Franca and Ahameda.
Put Edourd and Matets up front.
Lerma and Ayew and mix up our best others to make up the eleven and subs.
So long as it is daring and looks adventurous I can't see how the fans will turn on Roy if we start to go behind. 0-1, 0-2, even 0-3, so long as we are giving it a go I reckon we will be behind them.
Put a normal Roy team out and I hate to think what the reaction will be if we start going down.
Give the ball a damn good kick Roy and keep your fingers crossed we deliver.

Pedant alert - THREE home wins - Brentford, Sheff U AND Wolves (so long ago I can understand a man of your advanced age forgetting that one)

Tbh I’m not going either. Had a 160 mile round trip to work so another 80 mile round trip to Selhurst not happening. Not for the dross being served up atm. If we are going to lose at least lose trying to win which isn’t our MO at all.
My protest will be my empty seat, got not one ounce of interest whereby during yesteryear I was buzzing for every game.

At the last minute I have had a change of heart.

Chelsea have 13 successive victories against Crystal Palace, 12 of them in the Premier League. They have never beaten an opponent 13 league games in a row.

So for that reason we are going to win.

There’s meant to be strong competition for our goalkeeper position.

So how is Henderson still playing after letting in 11 goals in 3 matches. Johnstone can’t have been worse than that in training.

Thanks Roy, a more positive looking side, but when Richards messes up “again”, Henderson won’t save him.
