Just caught up with Roy's post match interview, ha ha good on you Roy - although you didn't want to repeat what you said to the referee for the benefit of the interviewer and audience, it wouldn't displease me if it included the words "cheat" "scouse" and "cnut" or words to that effect. Perhaps he should have pointed out that Liverpool have never lost a game when Andy “scouser” Madleyhas been in charge.

I’m still not changing my mind that Hodgson needs to go. Recent matches and performances against lesser teams than Liverpool meant that this match was more important than it needed to be. We need a new manager ahead of the January transfer window and someone to make us play better against the lesser teams than Hodgson does. We are now slipping into dire trouble and need the lift from a new management team. I’m certainly not getting carried away with today’s performance. We need a change ASAP

We played so well and if on occasions a little agricultural (as they were too) we were effective. Madley was also effective and as the yellows mounted we were annoyed but not too worried until he decided to change things as it looked like it could be a bit too close for his comfort.
Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course). |

Well there you go. We probably spent £40m on players that don’t play in the team. Even with my lousy maths it is easy to work out that value for money was not achieved in the last window. Just a little thought, what will SP and the board have been thinking when they saw Matthews between the sticks against Liverpool after spending nearly half the budget on a second goalkeeper? Nothing against Matthews, but we might have got to this point with less expenses. And does anyone know what Guiata is doing at the moment? Is he walking the dog all the time or does he have to attend training sessions?

No shock here They actually got 2 98th and 99th minute. Any chance of getting an apology from Webb? Perhaps we should ask to get game replayed, sort of thing the scousers like to do

I'm never totally convinced on which set of supporters I dislike the most but after seeing some of the completely one eyed, graceless comments on social media from Liverpool fans after the game they really have to be the worst They got away with murder today. Played crap, scored from a big deflection and had the ref deciding to only give us cards until the 98th min. We got the performance we wanted but it feels very hollow right now.

I think Roy's post match comments were as much a dig at Klopp as they were Van Dijk. Plopp's a classless cvnt. Hopefully somebody will give the bloke a straightener one day and we'll all get to see it.

I'm not certain that we will pick up any significant number of victories that will guarantee the amount of points needed for assured safety. Hodgson's game plan is basically to negate and nullify and hope for a break. We don't seem defensively capable of holding out until the final whistle, we play the same style every week and frankly it has got us nowhere except a steady slide down the table. Doesn't matter whether it's Liverpool, Luton, or Forest or Fulham, the approach is always the same, and frankly, it's not going to win many matches. At the time of writing Bournemouth lead at Old Trafford and we are 15th. The same style every week? Did you even watch today's game? It was a complete redesign, and clearly caught the bin dippers out. We played quite direct football, not playing out from the back. Passing was.... forwards, not a single free kick passing back to the keeper. I rather enjoyed it Kudos to Roy for switching style entirely. Liverpool weren't expecting it, and we gave a much better account of ourselves, despite the calibre of our players. It's not a great squad, no. Huge gaping holes in our quality, and very few players today would start for Liverpool.... but we showed grit and drive for the most part, even if the quality wasn't there. Our 12th man (the fans) sadly couldn't compete against their 12th man (the ref). We deserved at least a point, but let's hope Roy adopts this more direct style for the next few games and maybe even chuck on some lesser-seen players. What have we got to lose for the next few fixtures?
