Hodgson has had to revert back to type otherwise with this squad we would lose every week. Not sticking up for him but we have no other experienced players available at this time. A draw today is great but in truth if we had Doucoure and Eza we probably would have won. The trouble is, we should have players to replace them of a better quality than we have. I fear for us against Bournemouth with our makeshift midfield as they would have beaten westham today on present form and with westham having played on Thursday night. Hopefully I’m wrong?

I think the Bournemouth game has draw all over it

Haha, you never ever see any wrong. On the basis we can only improve the team by two players at best, that is a very rosy picture of what is going on. We are probably two more injuries away from putting out a relegation quality team. We are so thin on the ground, it’s the weakest depth squad we’ve had for a while despite the best 11 being amongst the best starting 11s we’ve had.

I don't think the starting eleven was good and I think we're a two man team. I'd go further and say that I think it's the weakest squad we've had since 13-14. Hence my opinion that it was a good performance and point under the circumstances.

As for the crying about the young players. Ahamada has shown nothing in appearances under PV and Roy, Franca was hopeless against Spurs (not just poor) and the idea that an under pressure manager should risk a valuable away point because a few fans on the internet want to see him is laughable. Rak Sakyi isn't good enough.

There was a groundswell amongst the fans imploring Roy to build a team around Max Meyer four years ago.

Disappointing but look on the bright side we only need 24 points from 24 games to survive

Then comes next season. Do you still want Roy at the helms with his dire style of football?

Whether we do or we don't, Franca is exactly the kind of foreign-scouted,left field punt of a signing that plenty on here bang on and on about us having to make more of.

I'm sure everyone will be understanding and sympathetic if Franca doesn't make it.

It was a very poor first half diaplay, at least offensively.
There were some very disgruntled fans around me as we looked clueless and played with no verve or zest.
We were a bit better in the second half, in particular after we equalised.
I thought Johnstone was perhaps at fault for their goal as it didn't appear that difficult shot to deal with.
There were no outstanding performances for us, although Olise had a few good moments.
Our passing in midfield was poor and we missed Doucoure's composure on the ball
Will we set up so conservatively at home to Bournemouth?

Good point today we deserved it if not the win , why do people expect us to score 28 goals a game , very blinked by alot of fans , Roy come in after PV and the football was special , how short of memoir you have , since then injurys have taken our 2 play makers this season we cant buy for less than 120m , so get real or we be like all those in the leagues below that once went all out and lost , COYP

Their goal deflected very slightly off Guehi's boot to wrong foot SJ.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

Always concerns me that Roy never appears to provide guidance or encouragement whilst on the side line. Just stands there looking lost at what to do next after we concede yet another goal. No passion from the sidelines, can be good for the players motivation. All other managers seem to get right behind there teams.

Roy is an elder statesman of football. He is not going to run up and down the touchline jumping about shouting and gesticulating!
Doesn't mean he is not fully behind the team.
Prefers to do his talking in the dressing room and drinks breaks me thinks and leaves any required hollering for Ray to do!

Roys looking Ray shouts the odds , always been the same , he has done to much in the game tobe disrespected in his ways , and how many teams have been relegated with a manager jumping up and down on the line
