Although I'm sure that it'll upset you to learn that my conclusion was Nazis are bad. Edited by inflikted (14 Nov 2023 1.37am) Ok, but who was good? What political visions lead to what outcomes?

Far Right politics involves highly performative nationalism, ostracising those deemed as "other" in a "them vs us" mentality, extreme social conservatism, desire for homogeny and hostility towards freedom of speech and protest if it opposes your views. I read that article. It says very little and doesn’t cover his time in Israel. It also says he is thought to have been born in the uk. They didn’t ask? Awful ‘journalism’ to make a point and big up a darling of the right, fancy that from the Daily Fail. The Sun says he was born in South Africa

Braverman is that minority example of successful immigration and then integration from aboard. It's only ever going to be a minority but it does happen as good and talented people are within all groups. Braverman has described herself as a 'child of the British Empire'. Her parents, who were from Mauritius and Kenya, came to the UK "with an admiration and gratitude for what Britain did for Mauritius and Kenya, and India'. She believes that on the whole, 'the British Empire was a force for good', and described herself as being "proud of the British Empire" I like her. Edited by Stirlingsays (14 Nov 2023 9.12am)

Edited by Stirlingsays (14 Nov 2023 9.12am) Perhaps somebody who has achieved success and is content within themselves is likely to look favourably upon the impact of the British Empire. Equally, perhaps those who experience failure and are discontented will find reason to attack it. Just a thought.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |
