Well, no matter what we think of our result last night, at least we ain't Chelsea. 0-2 @ home V Brentford. Downside is, Brentford go above us & drop us down a place, we 'could' end up 15th this w/e.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Just a small point, but I thought Will Hughes put in some good corners - not overhit and not too close to the keeper.

Maybe Roy would like JRS to go to the Championship. It's hard to give a lad like him serious game time if you don't think he's confident to trust and hone his attacking skills unless it's against weaker opposition. Edited by EaglesEaglesEagles (28 Oct 2023 3.02pm)
I ain't got nuthin' funny to say. Sorry. |

Having seen Franca in two bites of 15 minutes, my only comment so far is £25m???

They were all floaters and were easy to defend in my opinion. Franca May have done one of the worst corners I’ve seen but he does whip them in which is harder to defend. Was it his corner though that Guehi should have done better with or Hughes? If Hughes I may have to take my comments back ;-)

I wasn't overly impressed with Spurs but even so it was obvious they have better players making us look like amateurs. They frustrated us after they went two up by Vicario's time wasting standing on the ball. Yet Mateta, Franca just looked at him and so it dragged on. We stand at the moment in a 'holding state' - trying to prevent defeat and holding the fort until Eze and Olisa return. We have absolutely no creativity so little wonder we score few goals. I wasn't surprised when Mateta was brought on because Hodgson is stuck in his ways - everybody else save Hogson knows JPM is utterly useless. At least the rest were tryers. The downside to our (so called) transfer strategy has now become distressingly obvious.

I thought his corners were well struck and consistently delivered into the 6 yard box.At least putting in that area gives your team mates a chance if they can get their head to it first.

Luckily, with four cr*p sides propping up the bottom,it may be a tad easier to stay out of the usual relegation scrap this particular season.

Amid all the negativity, Ayew’s superb goal seems to have been overlooked. I thought he played really well.
