Probably wouldn't be last in the MOTD!

For years we've been sh1te without Wilf, now we're sh1te without Olise.

It's all beginning to feel very deja vu.

I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything.

I’d never thought I’d be looking forward so much to see Ward back in the starting 11 again.

The beatings will stop when morale improves.

didn't learn anything there that we didn't already know

Henderson gets injured a lot
Holding is /will be way down the pecking order
Full backs not good enough in the system we play that leaves them exposed to the switch in play
JRS not ready
Riedwald is decent with the ball but not so good without it
Women commentators make me turn the volume off
We still need a striker
Eze is the only player that lights us up
Other regulars that played looked bored
Man utd second string is better than ours

Hopfully will give a better account of ourselves on Saturday and pass the ball forward a few times more than we did tonight

Completely outclassed tonight. Been heading that way for last few weeks. Let’s hope the only 11 players we have that can play this Saturday can do better? Our reserves that played tonight showed they aren’t good enough :-( Even the first teamers played tonight were under par which didn’t help. Hopefully we will give them a better game on Saturday - I have my doubts?

As each day passes the Henderson signing is proving a total mystery. How can a keeper get injured making a simple clearance? Utd laughing all the way to the bank. £20m, unbelievable.
As for Holding, when the big club you pick him up from are more than happy with the few million you give them then you know he's going to be just a bit s***.

We had absolutely no intention of trying to win tonight.

Saturday is all that matters.

But Utd will have their first team out and we will be trying to play containment football

You’re actually right. I just slated Roy for his tactics but given the players he’s got to choose from he ain’t got a lot of options. We just ain’t good enough with the players we got available

I believe SP disagrees with you

Not sure I want to read all the treads but what I would say is the Palace Fans humour in that complete S**T show is the only positive thing - what fans in the country would still show support (OK sing sarcastic songs) ? I salut everyone who makes the effort and will be there again on Saturday. I am just relieved that we only got back at midnight after our 1.5hr journey north! p.s now I know why Joel Ward is a better choice than Clyne (oh my!)

Call me old fashioned but as soon as our boy came on with his socks half down I knew we had another dud.
Pull your socks up.

Anything learned from last night wasn't positive.

Henderson got injured undertaking a very simple kick. Normally this could be passed off as a unlucky incident, but he has a track record of picking up injuries so it doesn't bode well.

Holding is not a dominant centre half who excels in the air or overpowers opponents.I recall him being bullied by physical players when he was at Arsenal and he lacks recovery pace.
Maybe not a huge issue as he's not first choice, but I wouldn't want to rely upon him to be as first choice.

JRS doesn't look ready. It would be unfair to write him off yet, but I noted that he appeared very disheartened in the first half when Amarabat eased him off the ball with ease. JRS didn't try to take him on after that. At the same age, Wilf would have been spitting feathers and made it a personal mission to keep trying to get past his opponent.

A night to forget perhaps and move on to Saturday when we'll put out a more competitive team.

As many have pointed out the lessons were already known.

What's so disappointing to me is the subs and squad management. With the context of Roy saying we didnt have the squad to give it a proper go he then went on to:

Haul JRS of at HT, embarrassing that lad and likely killing his confidence

Decided at 3 nil, when the game was already lost to risk 2 of the players that he'd wanted to protect

Only gave Ozoh 10 mins

Didnt bother bringing Ebiowei on at all

And as a result Ayew, JPM (our only striker) and Mitchell (our only LB) played 90mins and will all start at the weekend

I'm genuinely at a loss

I’d just turned round to my daughter a minute before and said he won’t bring Eze on now, he won’t risk him now the games gone. So that one baffled me as well.
