So those others had it coming iyo. No recourse is fine then is it? Just maybe some had a case but not the platform to question it. My god this is like a loop ! Have you considered doing a bit of water boarding for entertainment ! Edited by cryrst (24 Jul 2023 5.07pm) What case would that be? The bank has, so far as I am aware, total discretion over who they serve and no legal obligation, at least currently, to explain an account closure. Rightly so too, in my opinion, as they might have picked up some information that disturbs them but isn't legally provable. So to have to explain it could cause them jeopardy.

Coutts won't have an opinion on his opinions. They have a concern about the opinions of their customers on his opinions. This is simply an absurd statement. In essence you have no problem with banks cancelling the provision of services to customers because of their legally held views.
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

The hubris of your hypocrisy is no surprise. You are quite happy to pin guilt on people you don't like such as DT without process, but when it's one of your likes such as Biden, you get on your soapbox about not proven in a court of law blah blah blah.

It's your statement which is absurd. Why would a bank have an opinion about anyone's views? Their only concern is their own bottom line. If they think it will be improved by refusing to maintain service to any individual then that's their decision. The reasons for such a judgement could be hugely variable.

The Coutt's internal documents frequently refer to " our opinion, our view " Pesky fact I know, don't let a fact get in the way of your opinion

This though is only a side show. It isn't just the journalist. What was the editor doing? I would imagine on any given day a journalist rushes into the office with "boy have I got a scoop". The job of his boss / editor is to question and challenge this is a failure of BBC News management. You may consider it a side show but when the BBC is claiming it's reputation for impartiality is second to none they end up looking stupid.

Total rubbish. I want Trump to face justice via due process and have repeatedly said so. It seems he now faces a lot and is doing his best to delay them for as long as he can. As I have said many times, patience is needed. If he is guilty of anything it must be proved in court. I have also repeatedly said that should evidence exist about anyone else, including Biden, then let it be presented in a court and for due process to deal with it. There are enough people with knives out for Biden for there to be no lack of willing sponsors for investigations and court actions, so the lack of them poses questions in my mind. This though has nothing to do with Farage. The only similarity is the way he and Trump have both popularised themselves to a gullible audience via TV. Johnson did it too.

I agree with the above, but it is also the BBC directly involving in partisan politics by trying to smear a political figure they don't like

Oh, it's a big failure and I suspect the editor's days are also numbered. The BBC don't have to apologise often and this must be extremely painful for them.

It has everything to do with your double standards depending on the subject. You have stated often that it is clear Trump is guilty etc You can use selective memory as much as you want and many on here would expect no less
