If that is the case, and the release clause is only to champions league clubs, then there is a good chance this doesn’t happen at all. At £35m, most European clubs will be ruled out. PSG stand out as a possible destination. In England, I can’t see it. Newcastle have higher priorities and are working under their FFP issues…the same goes for M.United. Arsenal don’t seem to need him in the first team. City…maybe. But I’m not sold. And again, if this is the detail in the release clause, why is it even being mentioned in connection to Chelsea? That makes about 100 websites full of s***e in the past week. I'm just guessing as if it were a straight forward release clause and Chelsea wanted him, I feel it would be more definite. The other issue, of course, is his injury. My guess is October before he plays, maybe later. And he's unlikely to be at full tilt as it is.

Sincerely hope you are right but so many articles appearing confirming that the £35m release clause remains in place. Saying the same wrong thing a thousand times doesn’t make it right and we all know that the click bait articles are mostly regurgitated/re-worded stories such is the state of lazy journalism in this country. I could virtually guarantee that if a group of us posted separately on several websites that we had agreed a deal for a certain player it would appear in the news shortly after.

Well if young Micheal is as good as we all think he is we wont be holding on to him for too much longer . The injury would suggest he wont be going anywhere till January though selling now has its benefits , but for my money Summer 24 would seem logical

Was removed as part of his new and improved contract last year!

Put him in the shop window then hold him back for the coming season. Let him go next summer. Assuming no release clause then he will be up nearer double the suggested release clause by then.

I see BBC are, again, reporting interest in Michael from the Arse. They're quoting an estimation of 45m. Yeah, walk on, Gooners. If he's going, you can start the bidding at 65m. Trying to get such talent on the cheap - the cheek of it. If you can believe these reports, of course.

When I think of how we were stitched up, price-wise by Liddypool over Blunteke and Mama.

The issue is though Olise wants to go. I've also heard Guehi would like a move but I'm not in the know. Guehi is apparently somewhat happy to trust the club to set the price. Olise is not the same. Stupid rumours I'm hearing.

We should play hard ball. Olise is the real, real deal and they know it. Even if he wants to go, we play hard ball and let them fight it out. No reason we have to be pussycats - to put it politely.
