I rather think that we would spend big money if we could, but that is impossible.

The only way we will ever be big spenders is by increasing our international and local fan base, who will but merchandise, and build a stadium which holds 50+ thousand and generates big revenue from more than bums on seats. The gate receipts alone won't do it.

Continued and increased success on the field plus a better image for the club generates fan numbers. It's how to achieve that without spending much that is the trick.

Are you expecting the club to announce the future of Mr Hodgson prior to the Nottm Forest game ?

Surely the opposite is true. No need to say goodbye to Roy on Sunday if he is staying another year.

Though I haven't followed this issue particularly closely I did see Roy Hodgson interviewed prior to the West Ham game and when questioned about whether he would be prepared to stay another year he said the subject was raised but right now I am thinking about the games coming up and after that where myself and my wife will be going for a holiday.
He indicated strongly that he is not willing to discuss it until the season is over at the very earliest. I wouldn't even be surprised if he told Steve Parish that he wants a holiday before deciding anything on his future. This is of course his right but it obviously leaves us supporters waiting for news for a while longer.

I find it incomprehensible that Parish wouldn't have asked Hodgson if he would take the job for a year if offered to him
