Crooks is just an idiot. Let's not bring some paranoid delusion into this.

If you cant see PVs fan club, Crooks, Wright, Jenas, Ferdinand, Barnes, Richards all slagging Parish off for sacking him, rightly or Wrongly, he was sacked for the terrible run we were on and disappointment with the players with him.

“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn

Ambrose was supporting of PV's sacking. One of the few that was prepared to give an honest opinion at the time and clearly had a few sources at the club who shared the board's misgivings about him

If you are saying that Crooks is unhappy because the PL's only black manager was sacked, then yes, you are probably right. If you are saying that is racism you clearly don't know what the word means. Have black players come out and said Roy is inferior due to his racial characteristics? No.

There is no such thing as "reverse racism" it was just an expression introduced to give weight to far-right groups to gain support and has been dismissed by every serious thinker. I think what some people are actually thinking of is positive discrimination. Personally I don't think Vieira got the job or lost the job because he was black, which is the only thing that is important.

One of the comments I keep seeing being raised by the players in post match interviews, is the simple clear messages given to them by RH. PV spoke eloquently about what he expected of the players, but from the comments it seems the players were not clear enough in his direction. Watching some recent games, Roy is very clear and direct in his instructions. A case of K.I.S.S - keep it simple, stupid!

I agree with the comment about PV wanting a slow build up from the back. Some of our players don't have the pass and move skill required to make this effective. And it looked as though they were petrified of making mistakes, which didn't leave them the freedom to play.

Roy has them playing more direct and higher tempo, playing to the strengths of the like of Eze and Zaha - direct running at defenders, and causing them havoc.

I hope Roy continues with the non-fear football next year. I would like us to bring in another couple of young bright stars, and let some of the older players take a step back.

I think you are 100% right, but i am not sure some of the pundits share that view

You can call it what you like, but this is Black pundits sticking up for a Black manager because he is Black.

I hate the term 'racism' to describe itbecause it undermines actual racism, but that is the new standard that has been forced on us and it has to work both ways.
If a White man said those things for those reasons, he would be sacked.

That might be the case (although I doubt it), but my point to Hrolf was that that's not racism. You may not think Vieira was a good manager but people who know him (aside from Keane!) seem to genuinely really like him so I think that and his status as a player are probably major factors. This is backed up by the fact Sutton and other white pundits also held similar views when he was sacked. Crooks has been digging at us for years, so his attacks are nothing new.

Let me just be clear, are you saying black pundits are showing solidarity with Vieira because he was the only black manager in the PL, or are you saying they have stated he lost his job because he was black? I've not heard anyone say the latter and if they had Parish would be in real trouble. If it's the former then that is understandable given the history of racism in the country and the seeming lack of opportunities for black managers (whether that is real or not is another matter, but the fact is currently there are no black managers in the PL). You can't reverse the roles because white men are not a minority and they hold the power. Maybe in 30 years China will own all of our ar$es and we really will understand what it is like to be judged based on our race.

I think it very tenuous and possibly conspiratorial to claim race is the predominant and intentional factor in the commentary.

It does grate however when it lands very much as subjective and personal commentary on the matter from pundits. That's not really their job nor place, I don't really care what they think themselves however welcome any footballing insight from their experience. The former seems to be not only dominating but corrupting the latter.

Garth Crooks has been digging us out for years too I agree, so any chance to jab back I will gladly accept.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

I would suggest it's a toxic mix of ageism and matters of race (but not racism) that are the fuel of his clear bias, which is now in its eighth week. We would have finished third last season...THIRD... under Roy's points per game since he came back. You can say what the hell you like about the opposition, but the tone of Crooks's onslaught in no way reflects that, and does not represent "fair comment" under any media law.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.
