Firstly the board don't make a habit of publicizing their unhappiness with the manager and secondly there were rumours doing the rounds in January that the reason that very little money was spent was because the board were not convinced that Vieira was "the one"

Personally I don't believe the rumour as it's my belief that the reason for the lack of spending is more likely to do with Parish's empty wallet

I don't recognise that rumour at all.

Yes, Brighton are better run, better funded than Palace.

What you are seeing on the playing field is a reflection of that.

Which is why I defend PV against your constant barrage of blame.

14 players have joined us, 132m spent, and we are going backwards, take your blinkers off

“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn

Maybe you should start seeing the bigger picture, although you seem to when it suits you

Whether you recognise it or not, it was out there.

My perception is that there is a lack of unity among our owners.

Which I think will properly manifest itself this summer

I did not recognise the notion that the hierachy were not convinced that Vieira "Was the one".

I still think we are financial minnows in PL terms. None of the 'big clubs' adhere in the financial fare play rules . It's in my view increasingly difficult for a (in my view) decently run club like Palace to compete. The financial systems and processes desperately need tidying up to prevent the 'dirty tricks' many clubs try to play. The new soon to be introduced PL regulator has their work cut out to put it mildly

As with anything in the Press, it's not 100% reliable. But that, together with alleged Textor's disconnects with Parish, was being reported last month.

I'm not sure I would use the word 'perception' but I am certainly inclined to agree with you there albeit from my very uninformed position.

Either that, or I get the feeling it is not an entirely cohesive unit whereby Parish remains as the figurehead lumped with day to day activity and the sceptic tanks only occasionally peeking in on things. I'd love to know how and the frequency with which they communicate, discuss or make decisions together. I'd like to think they have at least an hour or two a day or every other day together on a call or something to discuss CPFC business but I would not be shocked if that isn't even the case per week or worse.

As for your last statement, I can only hope you are wrong but am anxious you are correct.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

What I'm trying to say is that PV is trying to compete with one hand tied behind his back through minuscule insufficient investment. And Parish is trying to keep Palace competitive whilst investing in a rebuild of the main stand. Hats off to him for trying the practically impossible

I have engaged in this debate outside of HOL and the view was expressed that nigh on £100 Mill has been spent on players on Vieira's 'Watch'.

You can't change our DNA overnight these things take time. We will see results next season. Our new players need time to settle. Stick with PV.

Hopefully get a new right back and maybe an upgrade on Mitchell in the summer.

The only consolation is that we have been playing top sides and teams in top form. United, Newcastle, Fulham and dare I say, Bright*n.
If we have a poor result against a lesser side, then Vieira's position will be in danger.

The big problem is who replaces him. It would have to be someone who could make an impact.
