Nice to see us turn up today, albeit against a very poor team. A tough run coming up but at least we have points in the bag.

Typical! When we expect the worst, the team comes up with a win. But, please no more Schlupp to start with. He is just strolling around like he is on a sightseeing trip. Hughes in the few minutes he played, proved to be on a different level.
PS! Great finish to the year and we might breathe a bit more relaxed now.

Yeah, it looked that way for a bit, but on 89 minutes, with 6 minutes of injury time confirmed, they had a goal disallowed which would have made it 4:3.

Every time I think they're due an implosion, they don't quite manage it.

What did you expect?

Bournemouth could have shown up, given us something to think about... then we would have seen if we really did respond to the Fulham game, however, as pointed out, a win, clean sheet will serve us well.

How do you assess a match like that? More or less the same team Guehi and Ward aside and yet 180 minutes of zero attempts versus 90 minutes of 15 attempts.

I think the big difference was that Bournemouth didn’t harass us and dominate the midfield like Fulham did, hence we were able to play more of our preferred style of game.

I suppose if we had 3 draws the last 3 matches then we would have been disappointed but not overly so and we are left in a position where we have the same number of points.

Bournemouth are in trouble I reckon and Fulham proved last week wasn’t a flash in the pan by winning again today so I can’t really decide if that was a decent performance or whether we were playing the worst team in the league.

Spot on, I wanted a real challenge today, luckily, it was a walk in the park - they didn't shoot on target til 85 mins, this will have done us good, but under no illusions.

It's a weird season and table...

One big difference, Guehi for Tomkins. He is finished at this level. Shocking before he went off, then got himself dismissed for two petulant yellow cards when we were already down to 10 men - inexcusable. Well done today though, we needed the points with a tough run of fixtures upcoming.

Last weeks news mate but it was more Mitrovic cheating than Tomkins being 'shocking'
The difference was Bournmouth were not pressing as Fulham did ,our defenders had all day to pick a pass

Good to see two goals from the set piece. Accuracy of delivery helps and the cracking second must have been worked at on the training ground.

Great to get a big 3 points on the board. My only gripe is that we should have scored a couple more.

I would keep Ward at LB. Mitchell has been struggling all season.

If we can just manage to get a decent midfielder in to replace Schlupp it will make a massive difference.

i hope theres plenty of humble pie to 'round on HOL this evening.
good 3 points.
the f***ing moaning before kick off, would give spurs fans a run for their money
I think Willo had a lot to do with the win, with his strange ' hex' positive prediction before KO.
play up Willo !

What nonsense, not good enough as a striker so gets converted to a winger, not good enough as a winger so gets converted to a midfielder. Class players make it look effortless. Effort is the minimum requirement and something that shouldn't be applauded but expected.

Were you at the game?

Ayew was the stand out player. Winning possession, winning free kicks in dangerous position and always a threat. He is not a striker, winger or midfielder. He is Ayew and contributes in all those areas. He would be my first name on every team sheet.

It was an excellent all round performance by the whole team looking sharp in the tackle and forcing turnovers. They could easily have got another couple second half and were never threatened.
