Right now it’s TW6. Tomorrow is yet to be decided. We may be heading home. Take a trip to east London and have a wander around. It would give your observations on London life a touch more credence.

I have no problem with trans gender people. I had a very good friend in Catford who was trans female to male. All the ops (mastectomy, hysterectomy, etc) and hormone replacement, and even had a phallus constructed from excess fat from 'his' thighs. 'He' always used the mens toilets when in a pub or restaurant or anywhere and never made a fuss about it, even though he needed to sit to pee. And most of you know what the gents dumper is usually like. He died in his sleep at the age of 47. From "natural causes" as far as I can find out. However, he would be horrified at the amount of publicity bestowed upon the trans agenda, as he thought that his genes were messed up somehow, and that would reflect on his parents and grandparents, who all took his transition badly. In short, he thought he was a freak of nature, and wished the same journey upon nobody. I think all the ops and hormones shortened his life drastically, although I have no reason to say that. Except that he was rarely ill, quite fit and healthy, and didn't die from a known cause. There is no research into the long term effects of hormone blocking.

All I’ve been doing is suggesting new diversions for you that might widen your horizons. Nothing about me!

There is surprisingly little medical research on a lot of aspect that impact the Trans community, suicides rates for one and how successful the process has been e.g. do they regret it. Mainly this is because researchers are scared because of the shameful bullying and threats and lack of support from their own bosses when it happens, so they leave well along.

RIP for your friend Tim, that's not a happy story. Interestingly enough, whilst I continue to vehemently argue against it, I am not adverse to considering examples such as the one you have described to have some credence. What I do object to however, is when something which may seem like a '1 in x amount' absolute rarity suddenly becomes some sort of mainstream movement and the efforts to understand it become obfuscated by political dogma promulgated by failures who want things such as gender neutral changing rooms and toilets just so they can alter the world ever so slightly to justify their inadequacy. What's even more shocking is not just the imposition of this bonkers ideology upon adults but children too. You have presented your friend as somebody who just wanted to gain an understanding or solution to their questions/problems etc. without any other motivation. Anybody in that cart I would only wish the best for them and of course support. I really do think the somewhat pseudoscience behind this is terrifying too, it is to a certain extent experimental and Mengele-esque. Having spent much of my childhood on Stanstead Road (Forest Hill end) and playing home matches at the Power League on Sunday, I would however still be inclined to think living in Catford can be more detrimental to both physical and mental wellbeing.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Both of my eldest daughters children are in the process. One, one way, the other the reverse way. They are at different stages and one is taking it slower than the other. Both are receiving support, as is the family who are staying together over it all. By any chance, is their cat vegan as well?

This is just one of many sites giving roughly the same figures. I just googled trans suicide rates. If the families of people wanting this procedure haven’t done their due diligence and tried to dissuade the individual in any capacity then get a mirror !!! Edited by cryrst (03 Oct 2022 10.49am)

Anything I say is about issues which could apply anywhere. If someone wants to criticise the Mayor's response to knife crime, for instance, then I don't comment. If they criticise him because of his faith, I might.
