Europe is our homeland. This is the point. Even if we have to regroup in the central/eastern parts, the entirety of it has to be the long-term objective. But that requires a vision bigger than just wrapping ourselves in bits of coloured cloth which are no longer relevant.

Look at the 'UK'. United Kingdom. How can you have a 'United' anything when the very people running the show are constantly telling us 'diversity is our strength'. Flys in the face of basic logic. You can either be United or you can be Diverse. But you cannot be both.

Suspect an English Republic might be one way forward but even then, the diversity BS will still be in play.

There has to be a reckoning. Might not happen for decades but it has to come and from that there has to emerge a dominant cultural identity. But the notion of being British or German or French or whatever is a fading concept. Means less and less every day. A shared European identity could be the solution. As I said, I get the pipe dream part but I am trying to think about the bigger picture because our enemies have their vision and we don't feature in it.
