According to Fabrizio Romano, Wilf's price is around £25 million. That seems about right (maybe even a little high) given he has only a year left on his contract. I would guess Connor's value (given he's on a longer contract) would realistically be in the region of £40 million, possibly a little higher possibly a little lower. Connor for £15 million and Wilf to Chelsea as part of the deal would be very good business for us given that we're going to lose Wilf for nothing if we don't do something now.

I read couple articles on Barcelona yesterday -from what I can gather their strategy is that if they can achieve success on the pitch their winnings / earnings will help them buy their way back to some kind of sustainability - They don't seem to be even considering having several years of consolidation & using that as an opportunity to rectify past mistakes / wipe the slate clean - Originally posted by Putitout

Yes they got money for Richarlisulk but that didn’t cover their debt. There is also the added issue of their inflated COVID losses. What do they have on the powers that be?

Anyone seen CG in the Sainsbury's car park yet? Or is David Nugent parked in his space?

We need CG or a like for like replacement before the door shuts at the end of the month. GC has a difficult decision to make does he stay at Chelsea and get the odd few minutes like he he did last weekend or does he want week on week gametime from the start, he needs the latter if he is to stand any chance of being in Southgates plans for the world cup. What we cannot do is wait until the last minute, to see who else come in at Chelsea, which only suites Chelsea and certainly not us. As it stands we are still short of at least three key players (RB/attacking Midfielder/proven in form striker), without these roles being filled we may just struggle and once again we will be flirting with the relegation places at the bottom of the table

IMO we don't NEED a RB this season and whilst a new striker would be good, we can survive with who we currently have.

We have never been totally comfortable and flirting with relegation is anywhere below mid table until the maths say otherwise. We lack an attacking midfielder which is critical in setting up those chances in the last third where we are at our weakest. Last friday we had just two chances, both missed. The manager has already said we are a leat three players short of our needs for this season. On this occasion we may have to agree to disagree but I do respect your views and only time will tell who is correct.
