According to Fabrizio Romano, Wilf's price is around £25 million. That seems about right (maybe even a little high) given he has only a year left on his contract. I would guess Connor's value (given he's on a longer contract) would realistically be in the region of £40 million, possibly a little higher possibly a little lower. Connor for £15 million and Wilf to Chelsea as part of the deal would be very good business for us given that we're going to lose Wilf for nothing if we don't do something now.

I see it as Wilf to Chelsea on a free next season. Nothing more. Conor has his first first season at Chelsea and competes with Wilf next season also.

What would Conor compete with Wilf for? They are totally different players with totally different roles (and skills).

Watching the all or nothing programme about Arsenal. I would not touch PEA with a barge pole. Surprised at Chelsea thinking he would not be cancerous when benched.

Happy happy JOY, JOY!

I read couple articles on Barcelona yesterday -from what I can gather their strategy is that if they can achieve success on the pitch their winnings / earnings will help them buy their way back to some kind of sustainability -

They don't seem to be even considering having several years of consolidation & using that as an opportunity to rectify past mistakes / wipe the slate clean -

They publicly declare that they cant pay their players, sell Messi to recoup losses & get him off the books (along with other players) they dont live up to their contracts with existing players (this De Jong being owned £ Millions & how many more are there) they cant register new players because of their financial situation yet they continue to buy players like Raphina from Leeds who even said he preferred to go to Barcelona rather than Chelsea when Chelsea are a club who can actually afford to make good on their financial commitments - the whole thing seems ridiculous

Agreed. I am also at a loss as to how Everton can suddenly start spending big money. Yes they got money for Richarlisulk but that didn’t cover their debt. There is also the added issue of their inflated COVID losses. What do they have on the powers that be?

Anyone seen CG in the Sainsbury's car park yet? Or is David Nugent parked in his space?

What's gonna happen when we lose Sainsburys? Where's David Nugent going to loiter?

We need CG or a like for like replacement before the door shuts at the end of the month. GC has a difficult decision to make does he stay at Chelsea and get the odd few minutes like he he did last weekend or does he want week on week gametime from the start, he needs the latter if he is to stand any chance of being in Southgates plans for the world cup. What we cannot do is wait until the last minute, to see who else come in at Chelsea, which only suites Chelsea and certainly not us. As it stands we are still short of at least three key players (RB/attacking Midfielder/proven in form striker), without these roles being filled we may just struggle and once again we will be flirting with the relegation places at the bottom of the table

He's been there so long we might just be able to get his parking space listed so he can stay there

Once again? When was the last time we 'flirted with the relegation places'? Not last season, and not under Hodgson, apart from the first 2/3rds of his first season when he had to dig us out of an unprecedented hole.

IMO we don't NEED a RB this season and whilst a new striker would be good, we can survive with who we currently have.

We have never been totally comfortable and flirting with relegation is anywhere below mid table until the maths say otherwise. We lack an attacking midfielder which is critical in setting up those chances in the last third where we are at our weakest. Last friday we had just two chances, both missed. The manager has already said we are a leat three players short of our needs for this season. On this occasion we may have to agree to disagree but I do respect your views and only time will tell who is correct.
