I notice the FA are laying on coaches for the Fans to travel from Lancashire for the Liverpool v Manchester City game but they are not laying on free coaches for the likes of me and other Palace supporters living in Lancashire to get to Wembley on Sunday .

I'm not sure what all the moaning is about. I'm in Blackpool for the Easter and dashing back Sunday morning - there's trains to London, they just need to get to Warrington. Change at Preston for Milton Keynes - Bedford - St Pancras. Originally posted by Brinscalleagle2

It would actually make far more sense to play it at Parkhead or Hampden. Direct, non-stop mainline trains from the Northwest to Glasgow are plentiful, regular, high-speed, and simple. Cardiff, on the other hand, is both a longer train journey (in elapsed time) and more complicated (not a direct line). Failing that, there's a blindingly obvious solution no one is mentioning. Swap the two upcoming Liverpool-Man City games with each other. Play the Cup Semi-Final at Wembley a week earlier when there isn't an issue with engineering works, and play the Premier League game at the Etihad on what's now semi-final weekend, when there are engineering works. Problem solved. Sure, the FA Cup Semi Finals would be played on consecutive weekends rather than the same weekend but let's be honest, who cares? The two games are no longer played simultaneously so why does it matter? Away with you, with your damned logic and practicality!

I can’t imagine that Nichola or the Glasgow police would be too delighted by the prospect of 70,000 Scouse and Manc footie fans descending on them. Plus what about all the London Liverpool “supporters”?

It's such a surprise that the FA really hasn't considered anyone except for themselves and TV companies.

The coaches will so be rather quiet given most liverpool fans live in Bristol.

Wrong. CG CAN play for us against Chelsea in the FA Cup as the loan restrictions only apply to the EPL NOT FA sanctioned competitions. eagleman13…ITV have reported that CG cannot play in the Semi-Final?! Are you wrong or are ITV wrong?

Mark Chapman said the same on MoTD2 last night. However, the rules for the 2012-22 FA Cup were correctly reproduced by Skinnii in his post at 8.32pm yesterday and in accordance with those rules, Chelsea have clearly allowed CG to play in the FA Cup. So the only thing stopping him playing vs Chelsea would be the loan agreement, which I am sure is not openly available to journalists any more than it is to us. We can only wait and see ..... though Ed Malyon is more reliable than some.

Conor CAN play if Chelsea give permission. Rule 15. (j) (i) of the rules of the FA Challenge Cup 21-22 states: A player on a domestic temporary (loan) transfer (including a player on loan either to or from a Welsh Club that competes in the Competition in the current season) is ineligible to compete in the Challenge Cup Competition unless permission to do so is given by the lending Club in writing (which, for the avoidance of doubt, can include appropriate wording and/or the completion of tick boxes in any loan form) and a copy is received by The Association by the Registration Deadline for that round. It depends what the Loan Agreement said and whether Chelsea want to reverse any decision to prevent him playing (if one already exists).
