Regularly happens against the top teams, we match them for the majority of the game then lose.
Thought we played alright today, zaha looked a bit better. Very few chances for either team.
Just thought with 10 minutes to go we needed to bring on a big center forward that would create a different sort of problem , he brought on eze instead??

Another poor sub decision from PV. I'm actually still annoyed at the four points thrown away in the previous two games - penalty error from Zaha against Norwich and the absurd starting of Ayew against Brentford. Olise plays instead of Ayew and MO would have hammered home that pass from Zaha. Simple as that.

We have got to be patient, PV IMO is doing a superb job moulding the squad into a passing/pressing team. This will take time and we as fans must give it time. We have again IMO a very good squad and a few exceptional talents, we are have a tough spell at present but I am sure we will start scoring again soon. COYP

Understand what your saying but in the prem you don’t have much time unless you can invest in players that can do it quickly or get lucky

We are in relegation trouble for sure. Both Roy Hodgson at Watford and Sean Dyche at Burnley know how to win matches at the tail end of the season. Fact is we have to play Burnley and Watford twice. We need to pick up five points from those three games to breathe comfortably.

Totally bizarre substitution. Should have respected the point, with as you say, either a focal ball holder up front, or more grit in defensive midfield. It's these little details that PV is missing out on, and it's costing us points.
Also, when Zaha finds himself in those types of postitions he found himself in today, and missed from, I really do think that a genuine striker would have likely have scored or at least worked the keeper. Only PV knows why he's playing a winger in a striker's role.
I was highly critical of Roy when we couldn't hit the target in 90 minutes, there's no reason why PV shouldn't come in for the same criticism.

Like he did when he brought Tomkins in earlier this season and everyone slates him?

I believe that was against Arsenal when we were comfortably leading one nil, then decided to sit back for the last ten minutes and allow them to attack. Result, another two points down the swanny.

Horses for courses. You make substitutions according to the circumstances.

The rush is to get the season over as we are trying to do what many teams have done e.g charlton , Portsmouth Norwich (on many occasion) Fulham (many occasion) and we simply do not have the players to do it and stay up , this is what everyone wanted right? The old dinosaur hodgson out who played bad football it kept us up and someone else who would make us a team like we are ? However the team that we are are someone who anyone in that league would love to play now and we are in serious trouble

Klopp and Tuchel wouldn't agree and they'd laugh at your suggestion that we're in trouble, calm the f*** down.

Thoroughly cheesed off with that. Not a game we deserved to lose. We weren’t great but neither weee Chelsea. We need to take our chances. Just like Liverpool it has cost us dear.

You've forgotten about that ref then have you?
