although CGs loan is a season, can Chels call him back in Jan?

I will take a win like that anytime .
I am not a lover of Ayew but I must admit this first half performance was superb , although he miss yet another chance of a goal . Where was he in the second half , nowhere to be seen . Such a shame after his first half .
All in all a good day at the office .

Great result, Everton were absolutely awful.

No point waxing lyrical about Gallagher, we all know how good he is by now. I thought Hughes was very good and would love to see a midfield of him, Gallagher and McArthur, would be an absolute nightmare to play against.

Southampton (H), Watford (Aw), Tottenham (Aw) and Norwich (H) in the next 16 days. All potentially winnable games and I reckon if we can take 8 or 9 points we're right back in the mix for a European position.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...

Excellent team performance today. Ayew, Gallagher & Hughes were the stand out players for me but everyone played their part.

I do wonder if Wilf is carrying a slight niggling injury but I did notice he was actually working quite hard defensively as well so I think its a bit unfair to single him out for criticism. He is still a handful for the opposition.

PV said in his interview we have Conor for a season so he seems fairly confident Chelsea won't recall him.

Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.

Ayew was brilliant today. A real dynamo. Gets kicked endlessly, but bounces back. He works so hard for the team, just a pity he misses some good opportunities to score.

Hughes played well too I thought. He will become a regular I'm sure. The lad has been patient and deserves his chance to shine.

Gallagher however is the star man. Two terrific goals and, as always, he just runs and runs, chases and chases, tackles and tackles. The boy is a wonderful inspiration for the rest of the team. I'd like to think we'll go the extra mile to buy him from Chelsea, but I fear it is unlikely to happen. Ayew was my MOTM until Conor scored his second. It has to be him.

A great team performance and a well deserved, and timely, win. Roll on Wednesday.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Great win against an average PL team please don’t get carried away on an unrealistic dream, enjoy the moment, relegation avoidance is our objective

I'd say Benitez's days are numbered.

Will Hughes made the difference in that first half winning those 50/50s and any turn overs that occurred. This released Gallagher into a more attacking role.

We also got the breaks today which have been eluding us this season so far.
Overall, relief in getting 3 points which we deserved.

Whoever said Hughes, Gallagher and Jimmy Mc is spot on. Behind Eze, Wilf and Edouard, awesome.
