Whatever happens now, cheers Roy. The points per game is impressive enough, but the points per pounds spent on your watch is remarkable. You've shown dignity in the absence of the vote of confidence you are entitled to feel is yours by rights, and I sincerely hope that behind the scenes you are being shown the respect you deserve.

If we do move on from Roy, and if it does pan out well, with a new impteus, a new, bright chapter and all the things we'd all hope for, I for one will not forget that without Hodgsons experience and pragmatism the whole sandcastle would have washed away with the tide. He's kept the wolves from the door with one hand tied behind his back.

Fantastic post. Well said.

We will find it hard to replace RH if he decides to leave. For me another season is more than justified. Brilliant guy in my book. Thanks Roy.

I do hope he retires, he's performed miracles with a limited budget but I want to see him leave with the thanks of fans and with respect now, rather than hounded out by jeering fans when we are allowed back and results/performances aren't What we expect. Thanks Roy, some of its been fun but another hasn't.

A new Contract for Roy please.

No, no and no..!!

So yes we beat Sheff U 2-0, which I predicted earlier in the week, but lets be honest they were/are very poor.

You've got to look at the bigger picture results and performances have been on the decline for the last 18 months..!!

Roy and Ray's race is done..!!

"Royball" has been a painful watch this season - and we've been very fortunate at times along the way - pundits keep referring to Roy as being a great organiser, knows how to set a team up and defend etc.. Then why do we have the 3rd worst GD - currently level with Fulham.

No-one is happier than me that we have secured our Premiership status for another season - but LBH it's largely been a painful and tedious affair.

It's time to move on and bring in a younger coach with new and fresh ideas.

Roy rightly deserves our praise and gratitude, I'd offer/move him upstairs and into a DoF role, and get shot of DF - just don't see what he is adding.

For me if the rumours are true and Lampard is a done deal - bring it on and move Roy upstairs..!!

Roy basically confirmed in his post match interview that he is staying for next season. I have no issues with that at all but there will be a lot of unhappy folk on here,

If you were Parrish who would you want to be manager next season?
If you had to put your club's financial future on one man doing the job Roy has done for the last 4 years who would it be?
The answer is obvious. Go with Howe and the club could be relegated. Go with Dyche or Roy and we would probably stay up.
I can easily see Roy being manager next season.

Equally intriguing what Harris and Blitzer want IMO. I don't think it will just be SPs decision.

I cannot wrap my head around why people think Lampard or Howe would be a good fit for us.

As every Chelsea game passes Lampard's inexperience is being exposed. Howe got relegated with a team that couldn't defend, the first rule of football, despite spending. They also managed one shot on target against us over two games. He got schooled by Roy.

The aul move them upstairs statement. I’d love to see the list of football manager who were moved upstairs.
