Odd how we have fallen out of the running for Fraser and Watkins so quietly. Could it be that Wilf is staying

If the papers are correct, villa are looking at paying an awful lot of money plus wages for someone with no premier league experience..

So why didn't Ryan mention this from the start? Maybe Palace have dodged a bullet if his attitude is going to get in the way.

Don't blame him for going for the biggest wages, that's basically the point of becoming a free agent. Still a load cheaper than if you had to pay 20m to buy him. The only thing that I think is a cop out is the bollocks about being closer to Aberdeen. Surely it will take him longer to drive from Newcastle than it will to fly from London?? Still hope it falls through and we get him anyway, he'd be perfect for us.
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold... |

Newcastle to Aberdeen is a long way by car or train and flying would only be marginally quicker assuming that flights were available at suitable times. Anyway, isn't Fraser a bit old to be missing his mummy?

Fraser was always going to the team who paid the most money and his agent no doubt told him to sit on his hands and his wage demands would eventually be met. It appears Newcastle have now done that.

Good to see the humour coming back to these boards
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |
