Take my hat off to Zaha Magnificent goal but we should not forget we were played off the park for 75 mins The away supporters will be well sick their side only came away with point Thinking of the Brighton fans being royally pissed off that they didn't get 3 points tonight makes that game 10x more palatable.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Palace vs Brighton Match Thread' by bexleydave Fair play to Roy, his changes were effective and given half our team were out injured 1-1 isn't a bad result. First half was poor, but McArthur was a surprising success at left back and Wilf once again showed his value. Props to Tekkers for picking it up second half. MOTM for me was Tomkins.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Palace vs Brighton Match Thread' by bexleydave We were dead lucky tonight and Brighton really deserved the 3 points. Their passing and movement was top draw and for me our thin squad is getting really shown up now.. Best player on the pitch was Trossard, he is real quality. That is the sort of player we should look at signing...

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Palace vs Brighton Match Thread' by bexleydave Great result considering the injuries and performance. Have to give credit to Roy again, we haven't been able to put a full strength XI out for ages yet we're unbeaten in 4 and probably only need another 13/14 points to stay up. Four very winnable fixtures coming up now and hugely important we take some more points to go into the New Year without looking over our shoulders.
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold... |

Absolute rubbish. Third game in a row against our supposed rivals and we don’t turn up. Pathetic! Think that's a bit harsh. Absolutely shocking for the first 70 minutes I agree but the subs made a real difference and we looked really good after that. Even Benteke looked a lot better.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Palace vs Brighton Match Thread' by bexleydave I thought that the link up play between Zaha and Meyer couldturn out to be briliant if Meyer is given more minutes and more of a chance. He has great control on the ball, it's just a shame he's a bit lightweight. Edited by CPFCwetrust (16 Dec 2019 10.03pm)

Made them look like Liverpool. Pathetic! Rubbish, our left side was always open for problems and it took a wonder pass followed by a brilliant ball across our box to finally really destroy our solid defending in the middle and considering we have so many players out injured who would have made our defending even stronger we denied Brighton the amount of opportunities their build up play should have created by being so organised along the back where it needed to be ..Zaha, Benteke and Ayew at the end finally all got going and we could quite easily have won that, very surprised at how influential Mayer was, wish he would play that way all the time, really got stuck into it.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |
