the fact that your thoughtful, carefully worded and entirely objective analysis is taken as left-wing griping is a telling reflection on the utter numpties making easy two or three word jibes - the fact you have been consistently open as a conservative voter as well says a great deal - you are wasted here, not a place for moderation and intelligence, the mud slinging against you is from the same place as the mud slinging against various politicians, it's not really about views or principles, it's more about people lacking in intelligence insulting other people's intelligence - literally. Thank you for these kind words and your observations. I somehow doubt though whether too many others will share them. My time here though is not wasted as I am always learning. The more you know how others are thinking the better prepared you are to overcome their arguments.

If Farage hadn't withdrawn then the result would have been very different. That forced his supporters to vote tactically which had by far the biggest impact. Hooray for Nige. So you claim to dislike Corbyn and that Boris is the wrong kind of Tory so I must conclude that you were an activist for the Lib Dems? That went well didn't it.

I am NOT labelling the gentleman in such derogatory terms but a return to HOL as described above triggered a memory of the quote. Yep, an apt description. He should exist on the BBS or Comrades where his particular kind are celebrated.

I do hope that in the event I reach your age of 75,I still have the bandwith mentally to broaden my knowledge as you are doing at this juncture of your long life.

Those making posts thinking that this guy is detested because of his politics are incorrect. This goes back to his commentary and views and later back sliding on Islamic rape gangs. His statement on truth telling hasn't been forgotten......Apparently he'd heard about these rapes twenty years ago. People just looking in at how this guy is regarded by plenty on this site aren't aware that there is a back story. This isn't about a lib dem pretending to be a conservative. Why the blame game? This was an election The commons will remain the worse kind of unruly classroom and very little will really change. No one is to blame. And before anyone ascribes a view as to my politics. I don't like Johnson he is a self promoting liar. Can t stand Corbyn - a 1970's student who never grew up. Thought Lib Dem policy on revocation was wrong. So put me down as dissolusioed.

Exactly I have not celebrated a Tory win nor would I have gone ape over a Corbyn win. Elections are not about right or wrong they are about voters picking the party they think best fits their needs. It's not a football match.
