All I have said is that people ought not be categorised and described in ways that potentially taint others. Criminals are criminals. What else they might be is irrelevant. Also, stop trying to highlight the difference between men from pakistan and men born in England from pakistani families when you know that this has little or no bearing on the cultural, religious and other circumstantial causes of the misogyny among those who conspired. You can label them as you wish, as will I. Oh but it can make a difference and the more time that passes and as the generations become absorbed into British culture so those differences will grow. The misogyny you speak of will diminish with good education and effort with and within the communities. I am looking at the long view, whilst you are only looking at the past view. Furthermore, why are you questioning the size of this crime? Many groups of men have already been sentenced and the victims are in the hundreds. Why try to underplay it? I am not. I realise that several prosecutions have been successful and a significant number of men sentenced. No-one really knows how many girls were involved, many of whom were themselves of Asian descent. This has been a much more complicated issue than you seem prepared to acknowledge. Clearly, you think that having an Asian wife places you on some sort of moral high ground somehow over this matter. It doesn't. It actually makes you biased. Actually my wife holds a much harder line on this than me. She is though a devout Christian who has witnessed religious atrocities in her home country. We have interesting discussions! Now, if you have nothing new to add then I'm done. Let's see. As I predicted right at the beginning all that ever comes back from the small group of hardliners that populate these threads is the same old very familiar and worn out arguments that contribute nothing to actually solving problems. The identification of a problem is the easy part and I have yet to hear anything about how to actually solve it. Wow, you two still going at it Some people move with the times and hitch a ride on the turning tide. Others try to build walls to stop the tide and then get frustrated when they serially fail. Sometimes it is brave to stand up against change. But it is rarely successful. People still don’t take on board what Knut tried to tell us.

Just go down to your local newsagent or convenience store and shout it at someone you think might be a ‘gammon’ and a millennial will lap it up and film you for social media purposes shouting it at the unsuspecting grey haired person for not apologising to the Asian owner for British colonialism. The irony will be that he was buying The Guardian and votes Lib Dem. I don’t care if PP now calls me racist because I’ve assumed all newsagents and local owned convenience stores are owned by Asians (good for them, self employment is great).

Yes, and they got friendly with the locals. Not just for financial gain either. Some shop workers could do the same, even some small ones.

But those unmentioned few probably count for 50% of the post rate. Sad A neutral observer would look at this forum and think the fan base is inherantly racist

Sad A neutral observer would look at this forum and think the fan base is inherantly racist No they wouldn't. They'd see you and Steve1984 inappropriately shouting (typing) racist at everyone on an internet forum to try and win an arguement whilst Wisbech Wang desperately tried to apologise for the actions of rapists as he's s*** scared of looking racist himself. Other than that it's mostly just normal conversation amongst adults. Edited by ChrisGC (15 Feb 2019 8.33am)

What a shock on the internet. You should listen to your wife. Whatever you think you are, you are actually a naive liberal who desperately needs to uphold ideology over reality. There is nothing hardline about me old chap. I represent what many people think but are afraid to say. Now let's draw a line under this before everyone else is bored to silly and Pussay Patrol has a stroke. Edited by Hrolf The Ganger (15 Feb 2019 2.28pm)
