38 points will be comfortably safe. I think a team on 36 points will survive.

I think we look better now than we have all season. Not sure the same could be said for some of those teams between us and 18th place.

We're safe.

I think there will be quite a scrap to avoid 18th place.
If we play as we did in the first half against Leicester we could be in the mix.

How we weren't slaughtered in that game is a mystery - any other team would have made us pay, as Burnley will if we let them.

We need to play:
a) much better at home
b) ditto in the first half of all our games

The statement that all the other relegation fighters are too poor to push us into 18th is a dangerous assumption. We should aim for a minimum of 42 points to obviate a late rush from Southampton, etc.

On balance, referees have been good to us so far with our captain very lucky to avoid a few red cards.

Wilf's behaviour was guaranteed a 2 match ban as sarcasm is a cardinal FA sin. He should learn from Hazard who gets fouled even more.

At HT in the games this week and currently results going our way:

Leicester beating Brighton
Everton beating Cardiff
Newcastle beating Burnley (a draw would be better but it’s probably better this way round than t’other).

Hazard gets breathed on, lets out a yelp, falls over clutching his shin, the ref laps it up and gives him a free kick....Repeat.

We will be fine now, not sure about the Green Party down on the South Coast, they are doing their level best to fill that 3rd relegation hot spot....

Cardiff stuffed at home for the second game running. Brighton lose again. A free hit for us tomorrow night.

Can't realistically see Cardiff getting above Brighton unfortunately. Can definitely see Southampton picking up here and there so Brighton will finish an agonising 4th from bottom.

Would love to be wrong though, Cardiff just don't have the quality I don't think.

Nice.
Interesting that we have to play 6 of the teams above us.
Can't be complacent!

Bookies are offering 1/125 odds against us going down. Any one who thinks we will be relegated from this position should stick £100 on and walk away with a cool £12500.
