You're saying it as if he were a free player, which would have made it a decent move.

But no. There were 8 million paid for this guy who hasn't played 2 matches in a row since 2017!

If Wilf is going you’d have thought this would be part of a swap deal rather than a separate transfer so Everton could use it as leverage. The fact this is a separate transfer suggests to me that we aren’t selling Zaha. I might be wrong though.

We have little money, we have other positions to fill, and we're spending millions on another player so old he has no resale value and so crocked he might not actually play 10 games for us, in the one position we're actually well-stocked! I really hope we actually have some money and we're getting a good striker and right back, because if we're as skint as we think and we're spunking 75k a week on Cahill and then McCarthy, it'll be moronic financial mismanagement even by our standards.

Why why why why why? We have little money, we have other positions to fill, and we're spending millions on another player so old he has no resale value and so crocked he might not actually play 10 games for us, in the one position we're actually well-stocked!

I really hope we actually have some money and we're getting a good striker and right back, because if we're as skint as we think and we're spunking 75k a week on Cahill and then McCarthy, it'll be moronic financial mismanagement even by our standards.
