Add into the equation that neither of them are fully match fit either. We lost on Saturday because once again our chance v conversion rate is ridiculously poor. Even if fully fit, I question whether Wickham or Benteke are the players to resolve that situation.

Pardew's more expansive style, that ultimately proved unsustainable, if you leak goals like a sieve, and de Boer, who talked a good game, but who's decision making proved to be completely barmy. So we always end up with needing someone to 'save' us and those managers don't necessarily perform so excitingly when the pressure's off (relatively speaking). Alllardyce was probably the closest we've had recently to striking a balance between the extremes. We may have been better off now if Parish hadn't mananged to fall out with the latter.
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

its the same with any job in real life you like the challenge but theres limits and people with brains look at it realistically i didnt mention 20th. funny how every time SP is mentioned you appear like a bad smell I would also like to point out people keep classing Schlupp as defending when he is not yes he can play as wing back but he is awful at defending he is more of a winger. When asked about my feelings before the game on Saturday I literally replied 'I'm just worried we won't turn up today'. A lot being said about RH and the players but I have seen, especially in the premier league era, plenty of turnover in players and managers yet the core characteristics of our club seem to stay the same! We still aren't comfortable with dominating possession, still struggle with an attacking strategy that isn't based on a counter attack via Wilf, Andros, Bolasie etc. and there are the odd weekends I don't even pay attention to the football because of our fixture and then hear we're beating Man City 3-1 away! I always bemoan the lack of consistency and games where it seems like players don't turn up or can't beat the supposed s**ttest of teams, however I have been considering lately that although its dissapointing on match day, breeding anxiety and frustration, it does at least make being a Palace fan that bit more interesting. Perhaps we'll make some decent signings in the summer and become stalwart mid table obscurity, would be interesting to see how that feels
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Crazy thread. Do we need one of these after every defeat? 14th in the table, playing pretty well, just can't stick it in the net. Watford played well on the day and beat us, no need to get your knickers in a twist. Sure, we'd like to have a few more points on the board, and probably deserve to. There's no need to chop and change manager again. It's the first time in a few years we've had some kind stability, long may it continue.

To be fair he just watched possibly our greatest premier league win ever when we turned over man city. Beating wolves comfortably was a great result and good performance too. Hodgson is not all bad, but he is certainly not all good. I think that makes him a human being. When it comes off, like against Pep’s winning machine, it looks great. When we cannot turn over the likes of Watford, things look dire. Don’t forget though Watford are playing very well this year and the cleverly goal is a freak goal which he will never score again. We are creating more chances in the last few weeks than earlier in the season, we just have to start putting them away. Zara’s miss was bad but MacArthur’s was absolutely criminal. If one of those goes in and Guaita doesn’t get injured maybe we win that game and we have a different feeling right now, Roy makes subs like he is in the 60s, but that’s Hodgson. We will win enough games to stay up, the question for Parish is then can he move the club forward into a more stable phase with less relegation dog fights, which he has been unable to do so far.
Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha. |
