I thought AWB was excellent (again) today. Andros was also excellent and gave 110%.

We played ok, but just ok. They created very few chances despite their huffing and puffing. We desperately need a striker. If we had Vardy we would be a different team. If we signed Demarai Gray when we had the chance we would also have a wicked choice to play on the wings for us. I wish for once we would make some good selections when it comes to transfers.

Roy knows a thing or two about man management but what message would that give to other squad players who might be called upon? Message would be don’t bother playing out of your skin as you will be back on the bench anyway next time around. Some players are undroppable but I don’t think Tomkins form of late warrants that description. Edited by Maine Eagle (15 Dec 2018 5.35pm) Totally agree with you. Kelly deserves a start next week and Tomkins let the club down by getting booked in the tunnel after the game had finished. Just hope Kouyate will be fit as we will need his crunching tackles against Man City

A wonderful and most welcome win against a Leicester team that until Saturday had scored in every away game this season. I expected much more of Leicester and one can only speculate if Claude Puel will still be manager at the end of the season.

What happens if Kelly plays back to his average next game? Then by your logic ‘you’re only as good as your last game’ so you’d have to drop him. Then what have you gained by putting him in for one game? Nothing except for disruption to the team. Tomkins is the better player. Tomkins and Sakho is our best centre back pairing. Kelly played very well but he is our 4th choice centre back when all are fit.

We had the luck at last, with the Vardy shot coming back off the inside of the post after Guaita's save. It helped make up for all our woodwork shots that proved so costly - especially at Everton and West Ham. I was hoping our luck would turn and it did. Impressive that one win suddenly puts us five points clear of the relegation places. Come on the Arse!

In reality I don’t think it really matters who the partnership is against Man City as that is a game that we will lose I think we all agree. All about getting a win against Cardiff now
