Think we'll see a team like this:

Hennessey

Ward - Kelly- Dann - Souare

Reidewald

Kai Kai - - - Meyer

Schlupp

Wickham - Sorloth

Subs: Speroni, AWB, Woods, Kirby, McArthur, Ayew, Townsend

I'm taking 7 other people including two who've never been to Palace. Seriously hope whoever plays give their all. No excuse for losing this one. As per my post on another thread, I want to see the FA cup adorned with red n blue ribbons before I leave this mortal coil.

Anyone else remember us beating Grimsby 5-0? We did it twice in the 90s. Saw Douggie bag a hat trick before halftime against them and then sulk for the rest of the game!

Many many seasons from now I trust, timmyb.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

According to the BBC website, there is live coverage of the match on BBC One. Does that mean the match is on UK telly or they'll be doing drop ins?

Normally means they’ll do live coverage by text updates on their website.

What a performance by your lot, Harry Haddock. Obviously a fair amount of defending given the sending off. I was a bit gutted when your lad was sent off, as I assumed it would be a battering and ruin your day. But you were resolute and we were extremely fortunate to squeak through.

Decent atmosphere all round I thought despite a performance that obviously lacked composure. Look forward to your thoughts.

Good luck for the rest of the season.

Well said GPW, they were well supported, their fans only downside was the constant booing of Townsend I can only think the they didn't see the awful tackle, deservedly got a red thanks to VAR.

I think we'd have been exactly the same regardless of the rights and wrongs of it

Definately a red. The worrying thing is that Martin Atkinson didn't see it as a red initially

Not sure I agree with you there. It was a horrendous tackle, apparently some of their fans thought AT made a meal of it and that's what got him the red.

Maybe, maybe not. Have you seen the pictures of the tackle, Townsend didn't get him sent off. Lucky not to have broken his leg. Anyway at the end of the day we deservedly won.
Harry Haddock seems a fair minded bloke be Interesting what he has to say when he comes back on the site.

hopefully he's already on his eighth pint somewhere safe with his fellow haddocks. I just think norms change the lower down the leagues you go. and it was a desperate moment for them.

it was an absolute red. but in the heat of the moment, football fans are one eyed idiots. I'll often shout for a penalty or a foul regardless of what I actually think. here mentality.

The ref clearly made the sign for VAR and then sent him off, the Grimsby fans just needed a victim.
