The predictable blame game thread after a poor performance and result.
These things happen, it is difficult for players to produce high level performances every game. Managers also have poor runs, Howe just come off a 4 defeats in a row run, Dyche still in a run of defeats without a win. These are highly thought of managers, but it happens.
It’s how we perform moving forward that matters.

The other worry is that there are now only three players out injured who admittedly when fit will be good additions but Dann, Benteke and Wickham are all we have to add to a weak bench.

I fully fit Dann, Benteke and Wickham on the bench would make it quite strong missing only a game changing midfielder

Parish is a terminal case.

He can not, or will not learn.

Transfer window after transfer window we see mistakes, bad signings, bizarre decisions and ridiculous rhetoric in the press.

We will continue to scrape by, and then one year soonish we will get relegated, as Parish is unable to move us forward.

From our whole squad we have maybe 3 players not good enough for the first team, one on loan , won a youth player, but according to you Parish makes mistakes and bad signing, plus bizarre decisions what ever they were.
Do you think he planned to have our record signing for a striker injured and another with a serious injury.

I suggest you have a good look at the majority of our 1st team and try to work out how they happened to be at Palace, and who payed to get them and their wages.

If you don't like what you see go and support Bromley or such.

We have Milivojevic and Kouyate to provide the 'Steel' but we do need a creative midfielder to pull the strings, someone in the mould of a Fabregas,Pablo Hernandez or Shelvey. We have the more attacking Meyer but I believe that the jury is out on him.

Christ we’re a premier league club that’ll have money to buy players. It’s not coming out of Parish’s dinner or dating money. And we got to the Prem because of Zaha, a Bristol City car park chat I was calling for seeing as Zaha was off in 3-8 months, and some shrewd signings spotted by Freedman, Popovic and maybe others that luckily came together with a meagre budget to do the business before Zaha left and we couldn’t be more than a bottom half championship club.

If there’s anything needed doing with forethought and planning it’s a total shambles. There’s only ever any decent moves made when a respected Prem manager comes in and demands certain things to do the job, Parish agrees, effectively admitting he hasn’t a clue, before that manager leaves and we start again.

It’s a fvcking shambles. Sorloth. Please.

We havent though have we? As far as I am aware we are up to our eye balls in FFP. The Allardyce Window with Sakho has effectively left us snookered. A ridculous situation which ties in with your above statement.

Not just any game though was it ?

Zaha described the performance as '' terrible '', PVA had the decency to apologise and say that it was '' unacceptable ''.

The players had the platform of 2 excellent performances in their previous games so how on earth they could follow those with such a toothless display only they can answer.

As I mentioned in another thread a few weeks ago, a football agent ( and former Palace player ) claimed that Palace have no money.

Well then questions do need to be answered.Having money but not being able to spend it is one thing. Being a 6th season premier league club and being totally broke is an entirely different proposition. How can this be the case with our owners?!

That really is a tired and trite excuse that needs to be consigned to the knackers yard. The only club in the PL who ever uses that as it's reason for lack of transfer activity. We're in our sixth season in the PL and have done FA in that time to increase our revenue stream (if that really is the problem). Instead of devising a realistic plan for increasing capacity we've come up with some fantastical scheme that, it's rapidly becoming obvious, is never going to happen. Other clubs manage to improve their infrastructure whilst in the Championship (and below), yet we can't manage it after six years of PL megabucks. A long hard look needs to be taken at exactly how the finances of the club are managed.

It's not just the last window that the Club failed to sign a proven goalscorer. It must be three or four now. We've known for ages, not just this season, that we're missing a clinical striker, obviously complicated by Benteke's lack of form and Ayew and Sorloth not looking that they're going to be up to the job. We've got away with it previously with others scoring and Zaha/Townsend playing different roles, but the facts speak for themselves NOW. I don't blame the players or Hodgson/Lewington and the team , other than Tuesday, has been playing reasonably well. I blame the Management(REcruitment) for a failure to sign one or two known, quality strikers over several periods.
