The most pleasing thong for me today was the passing. Not a long ball in sight. Meyer,AWB, Wilf, Andros, all great games. It really should have been 4/5-0. I was suprised how poor Burnley were.

exactly, thongs can only get better

We were great today. deserved to be our record premiere league win. A 2 nil hiding.
I got a text on about 80 mins from a mate, said that talksport said that we’d had 21 attempts at goal to Burnley’s 1.
Absolutely dominated them.
Great performance.

We had 29 attempts on goal - 9 on target according to the match statistics

The quality of the football we're playing is the best I've seen in my time but the finishing is the some of the worst.

Great performance. We were superb but they were abject.

Definitely the best football we have played in a very long time. Every player in the starting 11 today looks very composed on the ball. The only negative is that we should have racked up a snooker scorline today.

Our back 4 is very solid with only PVA as a slight weak link as his defending lets him down at times.

Wayne Hennessy is looking very assured and full of confidence.

Max Meyer is starting to show signs of why he was tagged as a world class player. The chap rarely gives the ball away and he seems to building a relationship with Wilf which is great.

Our issue is now going to be how we manage our slim squad with 7 games in 30 days from Tuesday but hopefully Dann and Wickham can now step back in before Xmas.

I hope that anyone who was wishing for Hodgson out a few weeks back will now forget about that idea and realise that we are blessed to have him. He takes a lot longer than a lot of managers before he trusts players and he doesn't throw them in until they know his systems and every minute detail of how he wants to play. Kouyate and Meyer are prime examples of this, but Roy was patient with them and took his time and now we are reaping the benefits.

Bar a couple of games this season we are very unlucky not have a lot more points on the board and in my opinion we will comfortably finish mid table as we are a much better side than most around us.

Good summary, well done, certainly best I have seen them play this season, still concerned about lack of competent striker/poacher, can't see CW ever being fit, even putting on his boots seems to cause a set back, as far as CB is concerned he is well out of touch so lets hope SP can come up with something in transfer window, let's hope Saturday continues on tuesday!

It looked to me like MoTD said 1.58 "expected goals".

Either I've misunderstood the concept or their sums are bollocks. 29 shots, 9 on target, hit the bar, several missed by inches, half a dozen good saves by Hart, 1.58 goals?

Oh and apparently Burnley were worth about half an expected goal despite the fact that Hennessey could have put out a deck chair, sent for a newspaper and poured himself a beer.

Bollocks.
