If true it send an unfortunate signal. But there are other options - maybe we go all out to sign Abrahams. Developing other team's striking talent is that good a plan.

I hope this is not true. If he was joining Bayern or Dortmund fair enough but Schalke are in a similar position to us is it because of the coaching staff?

I was informed about this latest development today but I really don't know at this juncture if there are any credence to the reports. At the end of the day, Solanke is contracted to Liverpool, and they will decide what is in their best interests in terms of Solanke's destination. If Liverpool feel a club other than ours serves their interests better then the player might have little say on where he goes.

If this is true then at least it is happening on 2nd January and not 31st. Given our public statement's on the matter it would be egg on our face if it does consequently collapse. Maybe Meyer could put a word in Solanke's ear!!

This could easily get hijacked because as we know our medicals take two weeks to complete. The results are sent to an Australian clinic by 2nd class post and returned by the same method. When the results come back the player has already signed and played twice for his new club

Germany still on holiday for another 2 and a bit weeks. Doesn’t mean they can’t do deals tho. I do hope this particular rumour bites the dust!

I'm afraid I wasn't informed by perusing any press articles - just got a text message with the details and the Liverpool aspect which I highlighted in my post.
