it wasnt “british humour” its not acceptable...its classless of the highest nature...and its no surprise the usual suspects are defending the up defendable!!! its a real shame philistines of this ilk are allowed to post publicly on this forum without being banned.

You missed the point of the joke. It was about Basil's behaviour (as most of the series was), not what the Nazis did. Having said that, some of the posters on here would probably think a skit about men, women and children being gassed would be good old British humour or defend it on freedom of speech grounds.
