Brooks and Rice make the list yet Aaron, despite being applauded (virtually) every week for his performances, doesn't?
Strange.

Bournemouth and West Ham both have a player nominated so it's not just down to players from the big clubs

REALLY?

Please inform as to why. Oh & your 'smiley' icon is offensive.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

The only player nominated that hes been better than is David Brooks, AWB hasn't been better than Sterling or any of the others. It's very hard to get noticed at right back if your team is losing more games than they win.

If we lose Zaha and Aaron we'll be fighting relegation again next season. If the club have any sense at all (Pardew didn't) they'll have a word with Newcastle (I believe Gayle is still on their books) and get him back. That Pratt Pardew should never have sold him. Aaron is the best thing we've had in defence for years and at last we have a decent keeper. As for Benteke. I would have sold him off 2 seasons ago. Lazy & useless couldn't score in a brothel. A complete waste of money.

Yep, great goal scorer but not at the top level.

See point 1.

I personally do not think players aged 24 should even be considered. 22 max.

Madness. Funnily enough, was discussing this with my brother on the weekend and we thought it was between Rice, AWB & Rashford.

He's been a standout performer all season and his stats are incredible.

Actually, having just seen the nominations, they are pretty strong. Didn't realise Sterling was young enough (he will win) and had no idea how old Banardo Silva was.

Brooks over AWB is a peculiar one though.

How is Rashford in it??... Hes spent most of the season on the bench.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

I gather the rules state you need to be aged 23 at the start of the season, so both qualify.

Having just checked the fixtures, Man City's first game was August 12th, by which time Silva was 24. Manchester United had the league's first game on August 9th, on which date Silva was 23 years and 364 days old.

Seems bollocks. To me a 'young player' is, in the sense of being a bit of a prodigy worthy of an award, is 19 or 20 or something, not mid-twenties. That's just an established player.

Sterling and Bernardo shouldn't be in it. Bernado is 25 this year!

I don't think Declan Rice or Rashford should be in it either.

Oh well, the less praise he gets the more likely we are to keep him?

Edited by DeanMiles (21 Apr 2019 1.51pm)

We'll keep him on loan.
