Ignoring the rape accusation and so on, just a quick look at the beer based facts: - The woman said she had one beer. I find this believable. -The lad said he had never blacked out due to drink and that he wasn't a big drinker. Having assessed the available evidence, I call bullsh*t on the latter, making him a liar. Case closed.

They're not massively distinct are they? I'm CBF's case, for example, the accuser claims penetration only didn't occur because he was too drunk to take off her clothes successfully before his mate jumped on the bed and knocked them all over. And didn't one of the other women who came forward claim she saw him in a queue for gang rape? As I said, I tend to agree that it's impossible to be sure based on thr testimony so far that he's a rapist/sexual assaulter. I just think the playing down his boozing is the only blatant lie I've witnessed in this case.

Case closed. I am now 2 years into sobriety I have never blacked out due to alcohol I don't think any of my mates have either. I was still a heavy drinker and yes I was drunk. I agree that he says he wasn't a heavy drinker but then my mates would say the same thing men don't like to admit this. We are also talking about 40 years ago so he maybe playing it down in his mind. None of this means he is guilty even if he did black out and was a heavy drinker.

I just think the playing down his boozing is the only blatant lie I've witnessed in this case. I'm pretty sure he is more than irked at forever being known as someone accused of sexual assault, even after being cleared of it, but you assume he would find it irrelevant if people referred to him as an accused rapist instead. Why do they have to be "massively distinct" for you to use the correct term? As for the gang rape claim you seem to have now further upgraded it to "She says she was the victim of a gang rape in 1982 at a party attended by the judge." You said there were facts when both of the statements you picked are self made claims and there isn't any available evidence, for any of this. Which again goes back to the first comment I made on it: "What surprises me is that anyone is so willing to wholeheartedly believe either of them."
