No Ashton Gate repeat tonight. Well done to the team and supporters who made the trip. AWB looks a real class act again. Meyer looks good as well. Hope to see them both in the team on Saturday. COYP !!

Nice little win and run out for our squad.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is just amazing. Really does make me marvel.

Sorloth really didn't impress me with his general play tonight, but since he scored, worth starting at the weekend, surely.

Meyer disappointed- didn’t see what the fuss is about, but Sørloth did take his goal very well.

I’m sure it will be, but Riedewalds performance shouldn’t be under estimated tonight. He’s not only good in possession, he’s very intelligent in his defensive play, regardless of if it’s not as tenacious as a Luka/Kouyate.

He’s so young and we got a glimpse into the future today with him, Meyer & AWB all playing 90 mins together tonight.

We shouldn’t even contemplate getting rid of him, he’s definitely one for the future.

I thought the game was a bit flat but none the less I really enjoyed it. Tuesday night and a palace game to watch...

AWB was good again and I was glad to see those players that don't always get a game stay on the pitch to the end. Innes, Williams (who was busy through-out) Jairo Riedewald and a good run out for Kouyate and Meyer, who looks like he will be very good.

Could have been a lot worse but for a couple of good saves form Guaita. No bells or whistles. Job Done.

Job done, not brilliant but we're through to the next round. Much better 2nd. half, guess Roy must have got stuck into them at the break. Top performance by Meyer, won't be long before he's a regular choice in the first 11. ABW excellent. Liked Kouyate at times, didn't see enough of the ball tonight but looked ok when he did. Good performances by Sorloth (well taken goal), Guaita (looks like a safe pair of hands) and Riedewald too. Shame Ayew couldn't play so looking forward to seeing him, I think he'll be an excellent addition to the squad.

The really solid performance tonight, like the style of football we are playing. AWB is a very special player, truly class and will only get better.

Think we looked a lot better in the second half, but the Swansea team was poor so it’s pretty hard to take much away from this.

Sørloth looked much better second half. He was winning flick ons and the ball was actually sticking to him more. His runs got a bit better. He should have had a second if his touch wasn’t poor from an Andros pass. In the end his miscontrol fed it back to Andros who had a tame shot with his right. I think with Andros and Wilf playing, Sørloth could win those flick ons and do more damage, and I think Benteke needs to be dropped to get the message.

Meyer was quiet, I actually think Jonny looked quite tidy today and outshone him, but I didn’t see him misplace a single ball. I think We need to be patient, but I didn’t see him do anything wrong.

Our defence had little to do and apart from AWB they are all second stringers, and rightly so to be honest. AWB looks absolutely class and is a real threat going forward. I like him with Andros our wide, because Andros helps him out which lets him be far more dangerous breaking forward.

Overall our first team ought to be nice and rested for the weekend and it’s great that Alex scored.
