Thought we played well tonight, fine margins and all that. Townsend was unlucky, Sakho was unlucky (Salah dived over his boot) and AWB was unlucky, if he hadn’t have gone to ground he would have stayed on and Salah had lost control of the ball.

There are only one, or maybe two, better teams than pool at the moment so feel sure we will give the majority of others PL teams a beating. Feel quietly confident of top 10 finish- or even top 6 or 7 !

Pretty much agree with that. A bit too much crossing across the goal and absolutely no one there to connect, though.

I remain to be convinced that Sorloth coming off the bench offers a better option than a tired and hapless Benteke. Stop being sensible, this is clearly a time to mourn the famous atmosphere which has made very little difference to our home form, and to write off a striker after game 2 I despair!

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Scouser in the black' by Midlands Eagle Is it just me or are the refs getting more s*** every time they come to selhurst park, iv never seen such blatant bias in all my life, that was never a penalty. That was not a sending off as it was not a goal scoring opportunity and f anyone should have been sent off it was that t*** millner for the horrendous hack down of zaha in the first half , and he didn't even get booked for it. w***ers !

Agree with this, we play like that against the majority of prem teams and we win. No one player was particularly bad tonight I don't think, reason to be optimistic about the season ahead! Whilst it might be an unpopular opinion I think the ref got the two big calls bang on.

I know this is wishful thinking but do you think awb might have his red card over turned ? after all Salah kicked the ball away from the direction of the goal when he was brought down ! Like I said wishful thinking
