Reminds me of the sham 69 song "For once in my life I've got something to say
I wanna say it now for now is today
A love has been given so why not enjoy
So let's all grab and let's all enjoy
If the kids are united then we'll never be divided "

Givning Benteke the Pen summed the team up. Well done Roy what a performance.

Jimmy Mac would be my #1 target for re-signing and then, yes, Hennesey has convinced me he could be a squad keeper for us... We owe so much to whoever spotted Luca - is it Big Sam's personal scouting network or someone at the club?

If anyone had put a few quid on Palace scoring just one less goal than the other 11 Premier League teams playing today combined, they'd probably be able to retire.

Agreed, good captaincy thinking of the team before personal glory. Apparently by the look on Roy's face he wasn't that keen, but having scored, I am sure he is delighted, if not for Benteke for the team spirit it engendered.

Benteke has been awful this season, yet he is a good striker by his past stats. So before we spend a fortune offloading and buying a replacement it would be nice if we could fix the problem. If he feels the love and he must have done today maybe he can get over his problems. It reminds me of a golfer with the yips, the talent is there we just need to bring it out.

I would love to see him score next game.

Keep him, if anything we proved we need a stronger squad all round

Buy a faster paced striker or two like tony gale mentioned on the commentary.

However, even Liverpool don’t have many players on £110,000 on the bench, so I don’t know if he’ll be here next august

We played without him most of this game and frankly the likes of Morgan and co. were all over the place as mentioned by others. They were so use to playing against a target man they were well found out today. If Tekkers is willing to be on the bench against certain teams then fine. Against the better teams then a striker to hit might be advantageous. We need flexibility/options in attack and if that means not playing a target man then so be it.

Credit to Tekkers for taking that penalty.

Ok the game was won by then but considering his lousy scoring record this season, and that missed penalty against Bournemouth, it still took some nerve to take that spot kick in front of the Holmesdale, particularly after there was an audible groan from some sections of the crowd when it was apparent he was going to take it.

Fortunately he didn't try anything clever, just wacked it.
