Southampton have had hardly any injuries this season and are down there, plus they’ve been picked and pillaged by Liverpool and the rest too many times, losing their best players relentlessly, somehow reinventing themselves so well and so quickly. But selling key players on so quickly will, and I think has, finally come to finish them off by form of relegation

Can somebody please refresh my memory about how the magic number works? It has been an interesting aside for the last couple of years and was the only way I could reasonably get my limited thought processes around the relegation maths.

We won’t go down Willo! How are we worse than off than the three teams mentioned above!? Let's look at Soiuthampton. They win their game in hand and they are above us. They didn't look too bad at all at Arsenal and I thought they were going to get a draw.Evidently they were vastly improved since they played at W.Ham. Up front Austin has returned and they can also call on the likes of Carillo,Gabbiadini and Long so they are better served in this department than we are.

Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

Well I think we have now arrived at a point where there is no margin for error. By that I mean I don't think we can afford to lose another game this season. On the face of it, we could take something from each of our remaining games, but given the way this season has gone that's not going to be easy. We won't get relegated if we fail to beat Brighton, but to lose the game would put a huge dent in morale on and off the pitch. A win however will I think give us the springboard to getting enough points to survive. No pressure then

Brighton have gained 10 points from 15 away PL matches, scoring just 7 goals. So why am I sh*tting myself??

Given our abject start, it has been some achievement by Hodgson to get us where we are and give us a chance of avoiding the dreaded drop but I genuinely feel, for the reasons I have stated, that we will fall short of our objective.I have been consistent in my message for some weeks now and I don't feel there is any reason for me to change my mind.
