What a load of absolute f***ing bollocks Some idiot on TalkSh!te today was giving it laldy about how in the relegation battle teams only stay up if they take points of the big boys and you only stay up if you win these. Simple mathematics proves that that's a towering pillar of s***e. You need forty-odd points and it matters little where they come from, except to the extent that depriving Stoke and Southampton of points was a pretty good idea. What we need to do is play with the commitment and character we had in these two games and make the most of the skill of Zaha, the presence of Sakho, and the control of Cabaye when they return. The players we had on the pitch tonight showed that with them back in the squad we will also have a competent enough bench. Oh and we did get one thing out of these two games: Wan-Bissaka. Massive result today, the sort that shakes team confidence, the sort that shakes fans confidence, and now in the bottom 3 .. physiologicaly huge ... So you were expecting Us to beat Utd, despite never beating them in the Premiership, with our injury crisis as well.

Time to cry will be if that happens against Pards and co. last game of the season as I have a feeling that game could be the clincher. COYP !! Pardew will be sacked before that game. They'll be relegated already and they won't want him hanging around.

Edited by chateauferret (05 Mar 2018 11.07pm) Howard the Palace fan did well v Goldstein as Cundy went a bit silent with Goldstein constantly asking what Hodgson has won. As if that's relevant down at the bottom! I could picture Goldstein sitting there, thinking of an objection or wind up and just smugly saying it whenever a caller says anything. What a tw@t.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'I think that’s it .. ' by Midlands Eagle I think it was Bruce Forsyth who said what do points make and the audience shouted "prizes". Despite a great team performance apart from Hennessey we still lost the game. I can see it now Palace 0 v West Brom 2. Pardew relegates two clubs. Keep the faith all you like, we must start winning games.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'I think that’s it .. ' by Midlands Eagle Our problem isn't losing to Spurs and United, it's that we are incapable of getting wins against all the crap teams. We look like a Premier League team against Man City, Spurs, and United, then we look like a Championship side against teams like Swansea, WBA, Huddersfield, Stoke. When we play crap teams we either dominate play, but find some stupid way to lose or draw. Or, we fall behind immediately, and spend 90 minutes battling to maybe salvage a late draw. Either way, we aren't getting the 3 points we need. If we played like we did against the big fish, we would destroy some bottom feeders. So the fact that we play all the crap teams at the end doesn't give me much confidence that we will find a way to get 3 points enough times. I imagine a lot of agonizing draws.

Its a bit sad and depressing, when you have make up imaginary people to try and prove your point. I am sure real people would feel like hanging themselves after listening to you rambling all doom and gloom about Palace again. You really are embarrassing yourself with such ludicrous and farcical allegations which bear NO resemblance whatsoever to the reality. "Imaginary people" - What a lot of old chimerical hogwash. You have made your risible claims, I have refuted them so let's get back to the subject matter.Thank you.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'I think that’s it .. ' by Midlands Eagle I ageee with Wibraham. You must beat the other struggling teams to stay up and we have failed to beat West Brom, West Ham, Huddersfield, Swansea, Newcastle, Brighton, and Everton. Poor performances against struggling teams and plucky defeats against big teams has been the story of so many relegated sides. When playing sport, I’ve always made sure you try never to leave the pitch with any regrets. If we had a few more sprints to keep the ball in play or close it down, or an earlier sub, or a couple of better decisions then we wouldn’t have lost tonight. Hopefully all the players will take that lesson into every game for the rest of the season.
