Why do you keep ignoring what Roy said in his Spurs press conference? Sakho is deemed fit by the medical team, he just choses not to play, there is literally nothing else to it unless you want to believe there is.

LOL at you telling me off for "ignoring" what Roy said in his press conference and then misquoting him.

What he actually said was:

"We thought he was going to be back, but he is still feeling his calf injury – at the moment he is making it clear he doesn't feel confident enough to play. I’m disappointed in that as I thought we would have got him back after the Newcastle second half when he played so well, but it hasn't turned out that way. We will just have to wait and see but it's really when he lets us know he's ready."

Which is consistent with what I said.

In any case, there's a Sakho thread somewhere else for people who wish to continue to disrespect one of our best players.

I don't think that there was one but people are reading what Roy said and misinterpreting it.

Any chance of getting back on topic & stop talking about other players & sniping at each other?

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

More info here. His brother handled the contract apparently? That might explain the delay.

Here is the full quote

“He feels, in his own words, scared that something’s going to happen if he plays and he’s unwilling to take the risk,” the Palace manager said.

“We thought he was going to be back, but he is still feeling his calf injury. At the moment he is making it clear he doesn’t feel confident enough to play.

“I’m disappointed in that as I thought we would have got him back after the Newcastle second half when he played so well, but it hasn’t turned out that way. We will just have to wait and see but it’s really when he lets us know he’s ready. We’ll have to wait and see, and we are waiting for him to let us know when he’s ready.”

It was the Daily Mail that converted that into Sakho is fit and well but just scared. He is a professional sportsman, you would think his state of fitness has occupied his thoughts for at least the past 15 years. It's possible he knows his body better than most.

Crikey, Dougie played a blinder here. Only contracted until the summer when we get Guaita and possibly Ronnow. I thought we'd get stuck with a two year contract.

I'm impressed. Window closes on 31st January, Speroni gets injured a few days later and Diego signs on about the 28th February. Things are looking up or we're still writing off bunches of games with a 'they can cope/deal with it' approach.

It amuses me how many people post to a discussion and then go 'off piste' and start another unrelated one.

The subject was Diego Cavalieri yet off we go to another slanging match about Sakho.

Isn't it possible to give a Yellow card when this happens?

Thank goodness the deal is done, and we await the next transgression ....
